It just takes a bit longer to arrive thats all.
I ordered 2 and saved on shipping costs. Only took around 4 days!.
    Adrian.
I bought one from them on 27th May. Still waiting, apparently they are waiting for more stock which is pretty naughty as I thought they were only supposed to sell on ebay if they currently have stock!

Still can't wait for it to arrive.

I see you got in quick with your 401 Wayne. Well done, I think it will be a very good buy!

Raptor 30 with OS 32 and AR6100E (flying again)
Twister 3D Storm, DX7 and AR6100. DS285's on the main rotor and S3153 on the tail with a JR G770T.
    Blade CX2, DX7 and AR6100E
    Walkera 4#3B seriously fun
    Walkera 4G3 seriously scary
    Phoenix Sim with Blade 400.

If you like it loud and dirty, only Nitro will really hit the spot!

      Hi Gary

I've worked out what the out of control wag is, you remember the crash last Friday night, well it only occurred to be a few hours ago, but basically I'd bust loads of teeth in the tail servo, and this is what's been causing the out of control tail.

How much of a twat am I!!!!! DOH

As the gears have rotated within the Servo while there been working on OKish teeth it hasn't been to bad, until the broken teeth come around and then I have the out of control situation where I needed to act fast to stop a disaster.

So I swapped the tail servo over for a fresh one and problem solved, perfect, I've pumped four batts through her and the flight has been mechanically sound.

Plus the Gyro is also fine, yes with forceful thrust she wags, but the tail goes back to the center position once the power level stays constant, and you really need to rev her up to make this happen, not that it makes flying difficult just nature of the beast.

I was only hitting the throttle hard to test the pinion/gear grip while experimenting for that perfect match up point.

Plus I've brought a 401 Gyro from a member who's selling his Knight set up, and the Gyro is practically new and in perfect condition all in for £50 so I'm well happy.

With all the parts I have taken off my XL she's more like a SE V1 now with the alloy upgrades, and even with the old Art-Tech Gyro she still flys nice, but I'm going to upgrade the tail servo to a Futuba (can't remember the number) buts it's around £25ish) before I install the new Gyro.

So with my spare Trex frame A member kindly sent to me, I'm going to build my first hack 450, as I've most of the head parts already, plus a spare plastic tail gear box, spare booms, 4 spare Hitec-55's after the new gears have been fitted, so I'm looking forward to that project very soon.

Anyway my new Alloy Swash Plate should arrive tomorrow and my alloy blade holders are on back order which should arrive any day now, so it's all exciting stuff.

Thanks Jim, I'll have a GY401 in a couple of days, but I need to upgrade the tail Servo before I get the benefit from Superior performance compared to the Gyro I'm using now.

TBH regardless of the thrust up wag, she doesn't do a bad job, and she stays tail in all day if need be, but improving the machine as you go on is all part of the fun, even if the parts I've upgraded possibly won't ever get the hammering there built for, at least it looks cool.

Again more of the same strange Gyro probs I think.

Yesterday afternoon I changed over the tail servo to another servo, problem solved.

However I've just pumped three batt packs through her, each flight being around 15 mins simple tail in and gentle cyclic action.

1st batt, I connected the ESC, all the beeps but when stopped there was no red Gyro light on to indicate the Gyro had fired up.

So I disconnected the leads reconnected, this time the Gyro light came on with the usual tail servo squeak, all the beeping stopped, canopy went on out I went.

She was a pig from the moment I lifted off the tail going off all on it's own like before, only thankfully with the little I now know I fought the good fight, then it smoothed out then went cuckoo again.

After ten minutes of this I'd mentally had enough keeping her from harm, so I landed and came inside.

In a vain attempt thinking lightning has struck twice I replaced the servo with another one (tower pro), these were the servos my 450 had before they were changed for HS55's.

There tossers of a servo for heli control but make a nice tail control servo.

Anyway once finished I connected a 2nd batt, this time the Gyro started up perfectly, after all the beeping stopped, canopy went on, out I went.

This time much better a little rudder trim then she was a pleasure to fly, until the last few minutes of flight where the tail started to jump around in fast movements, like the gain was to high, but here and there the tail whipped but nothing like the first flight.

3rd batt pretty much the same last few minutes loads of tail wag with the occasional tail whip so I was careful while testing the last few minutes but it wasn't the usual end of batt flight conditions as before the crash last Friday

Mike engaged something to adjust the gain on my DX6 but I don't know where to go either to add or decrease the gain, as the twitching was as if the gain was set to high, and i was thinking if I could alter that it might make the other situation a little less severe.

I know it isn't the best Gyro ever made, but can any one help me at least get a middle of the road situ' here where I'm not worried about the last few mins of batt life.

And is this a combination of a slightly possibly damaged Gyro and not good servo, though as said before all was fine, I pumped quite a few batts through her after changing the servo and all seemed OK, tonight the Gyro on it's first power up didn't light up and after that it hasn't been good again.

I'd like to point that the Gyro in the past has on occasion not lit up and I've had to disconnect the power reconnect and then alls been fine.

Any ideas on how to adjust the gain via the menus on a DX6 to better the flying until I can change over the gyro for my new GY401 arriving soon.

                Thanks for any suggestions.

                  Just a couple of observations

HS55's are not really up to running a 450's cyclics, they will just about work but once you start to give it any sort of stick you will be praying they don't strip

I'm not sure what batteries you are using but 15 minute flights on a 450 sounds like a recipe for rapidly buggered packs!!

                  Say your packs are 2200mAh

                  Usable capacity 2200x80%=1760mAh

                  1760/15=117.4mAh

Means you are only using 117.4mAh per minute which I very much doubt if you are hovering.

Don't make your heli flying more expensive than it needs to be

                      Thank you Phil

I agree, with you mate, right now the HS55's serve me well but then again I'm not really putting my 450 through any real stress, but I can imagine doing some hard turns and those little teeth not sanding a chance.

Don't ask me why I'm getting good batt times, I'm not timing them to the second but I volt test them afterwards and there always well within the safety limits stated not to go under.

Just ask Gary here, he volt tested one of my Maxpolys and even he was amazed by there performance.

Thank you for you advice bud', but I'm not really any further forward with ideas about my present Gyro prob.

Thank you Jim, what can I say I'm gifted when it comes to Li Po's, lol.

A 10-12 minute flight with my BCX2 is the norm' with my new electrolite 800mah's, what can I say, I know it doesn't make sense, but I can't argue with the timer on MP11 when I start a mix at the same time as lift off and time them indoors.

I am looking forward to the 401 and a nice dig' tail servo and doing it properly, and hopefully resting these bloody Gremlins in my present Gyro.

I think perhaps you need more headspeed if you're getting that much time out of it. It helps the tail authority also. I get 5:30 out of my 2200mah packs doing mild 3D/hard sport flying while still keeping the pack voltages at ~3.80v each. Also around 70% used.

I used a Tower Pro SG90 a while back on the tail, it does actually work surprisingly well, but no where near perfect.

Yay my new GY401 arrived today, all perfect.

Thanks Martin it arrive safe & sound.

Plus my new alloy blade grips arrived also, and there now attached, and does she look sweet, just waiting for the alloy Swash then the head will be complete.

Plus my new Align carbon steel super strength main shafts arrived as spares, as I've heard there practically indestructible, when I have my next ding dong and bend the one on it now, (hopefully not for a long time that is.)

Now I'm ordering a Futuba digital tail servo, then it's tail gearbox for the change over to alloy, then she'll look one hot mama
