I'm very grateful for all who helped me in this situation, it was good learning, frustrating like (pull your hair out) like crazy but she's flyable.

Well, another question, since I last saw Mike and he sorted out a TX issues which I'll go into later, while she spoiled up round his there was no vibration she revved up to take off and didn't move a muscle.

Same was on Saturday morning, I had two batt packs through her, had 20 minutes of great enjoyable flying, with gentle landings, no probs' whatsoever.

Now when I spoil up she's almost rattling herself apart, the vibration is terrible until she's in the air, but I know whatever's causing the vibration is effecting her in flight, when it doesn't show up as much, but when I land and the rota's slow down, it it wasn't for the training gear she'd topple herself over easily.

Now since loosing the data on the TX and now she hasn't had a crash, blade hit or anything, is there something I've missed which could cause this terrible vibration at all.

I've put a old pair of blades on her for the flight tests last night and left my 325's in the case, on the chance there might be a problem and I'd rather muller an old pair then my gleaming 325's

Could it be the blades causing the vibration, I'm going to check in five minutes, but until then have you guy's any ideas at all?

          Many thanks.

Just done a test, it was the blades, I put my red 325 pro's back on, not so much at a tiny rattle, thank heavens for once something easy fixed a problem for me.

                Cheers mate.

I've never known a hobby that offer so much fun & in the same breath gives so much grief as well.

Luckily the fun out weighs the problems, not that I thought so this weekend, I could have quite easily sold the lot, lol.

It's too much fun to give up, when this gets into your blood there's no turning back.

Thank you Andy it sure helps having a little knowledge about the TX settings, as once you know how things work other areas open up a little easier.

OK I've had two batt packs on the grass island, no accidents all under control, if a little twitchy, the DR is set at 80%, expo 30%, plus I've tamed down the flight surfaces trimmed her out, she isn't flying as well as mikes settings but is 80% there and I'm experimenting all the while, landing her changing something, then up again and so on.

Now I ask a question as I don't understand how to do this yet, I have 80% DR on the throttle, but it's very twitchy, and not a smooth power up power down like it used to be.

Can anyone please give me a nudge how I can train the throttle so she isn't so quirky

                    Many thanks........again, I know I know, I'm a pain in the Harris.

                      Hi

Just before I binned my 450s, it was flying really smoothly.

I use the following throttle curve in Idle up 1 with a linear Pitch curve (0,25,50,75,100)

                      Throttle: 85,75,65,75,85

I know most people go for a flat line throttle curve around 80, 90 etc, but I find my 450 really zips around if I do that and I prefer a more progressive flight hence my 'V' throttle curve.

If you need more head speed then simply increase each point up a bit then retry.

I did this at the weekend and got the 450 flying exactly as I want it with no nasty habits.

To start up I engage throttle hold, select Idle up 1, put the collective at mid stick and then switch off throttle hold. Obviously soft engine start is engaged via the ESC.

                      Just my 2p.

                      Cheers

                      Mark

Thank you Mark I understand what your saying, I've just got to translate that to my DX6, all I want is a gentle start up by about mid stick she's about 12" off the deck and I can take her down gently and up again the same.

If that's what you want, try reading NFK's excellent setup article on Trextuning.

                          http://www.trextuning.com/setuptrex.php

That should give you what you want especially the Throttle and Pitch curve section.

                          Cheers

OK just for my own safety and ease I've adjusted the 3 point curve to TLN 0%, T2N 35% THN 80%.

I won't need all the power my Trex has and hopefully this'll give me a more gentle take off and landing, what do you think?
