The short answer is yes, if you dont mind maybe spending a few flights setting it up. Unlike the beastx, with minimal settings to change, it can sometimes not work so well straight from the box. However, with more people now using them and a catalog of varying settings files available from the internet, its much easier to get a 3GX working well.
The lastest V2 firmware appears to have simplified things when it comes to setup of the 3GX. Performance wise I think both the 3GX and beastx have good and bad points it seems from reading flight reports and each have their loyal followers, neither though can be compared to the vbars. But the latter is double the price and so expected to be much better.
