It's not a Spektrum module, it's a Futaba one - made by Futaba.
It suits the FF9 etc. perfectly. I went to buy one Monday at Inwoods but amongst the piles of boxes there, they couldn't find them. Will order one from Midland Heli.
Shop price is same as that Ebay price so it's hardly a bargain.

Ah sorry was meant to say 2.4gig but spectrum was stuck in my head forgot specktrum was a brand. I thought it was the technolodgy i.e spread spektrum technolodgy.
I dont have a futaba set, I have a multiplex one & it's not likely that I will be selling up just yet to buy into 2.4gig I just spotted it on the bay & thought it strange that no body here was talking about it.

They seem to have crept in, but my view is Futaba should be really pushing this one since the Spektrum modules STILL aren't available for Futaba, so this is Futaba's chance to cash in on Spektrum's failings!

Slapped one of these in my FF9 and set the V2 SE up on it in place of the 2.4G 6EX radio it had been on, as the saying goes does what it says on the tin!
Only a few flights on it but works fine and the feel of the FF9 is so much nicer than the 6EX radio.

Have to agree Bob though my DX7 is on the camera ship I find the set cheapish and awkward at times to play with settings. Whilst Futaba to me have always had the edge in some respects in terms of user friendly aspects. Maybe I've been spoilt with a 14MZ that's like playing with your PC at home. Ohh dear have I just started the old JR 'v' Futaba debate.
I too am waiting for a 2.4ghz module for my MZ. In no hurry but would atleast like to see it sooner rather than later.
The FF9 Super is only and eight channel Tx in PCM mode anyways. You have to tweak it a bit in PPM mode to get the 9th channel out of it!!!!
Still, its a luvverly Tx - it'll be a shame to leave Futaba after 20 years of using their gear, but the new JR 2.4 radios are just too good. I'm now waiting for the uk version of the x9303, which I believe is the DSX9 - sorry Futaba, you just haven't kept up in the race.........

Futaba hasn't kept up?
I'd recomend you look at some of the stuff on the new trannys...
You have to admit, it does beg the question... If Spektrum hadn't stormed the market with the DX6 and DX7 so successfully, would Futaba ever have released anything for us heli/plane pilots, or would they just keep accumulating years of experience in the field instead?
I read that 15 years claim and the first thing through my head was, why hasn't it been released a long time ago?
I totally agree, they are catching up in this arena.
Cheers,
Rob
