I understand that 2.4G is still not legal or in demand in Japan, all the Japanese makers are very much wrapped up in their home market so I don't think they saw or understood the unpresidented switch to and demand for 2.4G.
It is only pressure from their distributors which is making it happen, if the Japanese home market had been effected by 2.4G then you would have seen a much more rapid responce from JR and Futaba.

Someone I know has a Futaba 12fg 2.4ghz in the UK came in the other day.

These sets are out in HK and Japan yet here we are waiting still...

The 12Fg 2.4 cost him about 500 pounds with top notch servo's
