You'll need the bluetooth module for the DS760, a bluetooth enabled PocketPC and the DS760 PocketPC software.

This setup will give you the ability to fine-tune your gyro's setup anywhere.

So if you buy the Sport version and then do the upgrade, is there actually any difference at all from having the full spec and more expensive DS760?

The 'Sport' model is about the same price as the DS760 was before it went out of stock, whereas the full DS760 has gone up in price.

So with the free upgrade, we're effectively being offered a 'price hold'.

If they only had a proper Bluetooth stack on the iPhone instead of headset only

They have just limited what it can be used for... for stupid unknown apple type reasons!!

Many bluetooth profiles available - apple have implemented just 2.

                      Copied from the internets...

                      iPhone Supports:
                      Hands-Free Profile (HFP)
                      Headset Profile (HSP)

                      iPhone Does Not Support:
                      Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP)
                      Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP)
                      Basic Imaging Profile (BIP)
                      Basic Printing Profile (BPP)
                      Cordless Telephony Profile (CTP)
                      Device ID Profile (DID)
                      Dial-up Networking Profile (DUN)
                      Fax Profile (FAX)
                      File Transfer Profile (FTP)
                      General Audio/Video Distribution Profile (GAVDP)
                      Generic Access Profile (GAP)
                      Generic Object Exchange Profile (GOEP)
                      Human Interface Device Profile (HID)

                      Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP)
                      Serial Port Profile (SPP)

401 is easier to set up but spartan once set up properly gives better performance. Either should be a vast improvement over the standard one.

the reason the spartan won't work with the iphone is because of apple, simple. someone has tried to develop one but as of yet no one has found a way to get full bluetooth on the iphone. people buy apple but they severely limit all their products to stop piracy of music. that is the real reason you can't do it. it is physically capable of it but is limited apparently.

in mean time my phone works with it :-)

                            cheers

I'm quite happy using my USB link at home or the field via laptop and having a top quality phone in my pocket rather than the blue link that I'd probably lose and a shite windows mobile phone crashing in my pocket
