In answer to the posts above, the 50C range (true 50C) in comparison to 30C cells we think will offer slightly improved voltage hold in extreame applications. The average pilot will probably find little diffenece but we are testing currently to establish exactly what the benefits are. We know they run very cool indeed and we know on discharge the voltage holds well but they are heavier. We will run with 10 awg wire as anything bigger just gets too difficult to solder.
Guys like Ben flying speed events will probably feel the benefit as they run high current loads for a long time but even speed flying only has 1 or 2 seconds bursts at 300+ amps then back down to the more mundane end. We hope to get some data from Bens machine in due course which we await with interest. For most of us 30C is more than enough I suspect.
