25C 5000 regular blue Turnigy. I don't do Nanocrap. I did try a 30C regular Turnigy but it went puffy pretty quick & the discharge leads are way to fat '8awg' so i stick with 25C

        Hey.

These will be the perfect size for my 550E, liking the Opti 5000's in my 700E DFC, but felt that a 6s version of their 5300 pack would be an ideal size for the 550 class.

Just back from the first flights of the 50c Packs. Although slightly heavyer than the 35c you can't really feel this in flight. The pack appears to hold the head very well through out the flight. It's comes off cooler than the 35c packs.

Only first flights though, so lots more testing to go !! :-)
                    Cheers Matt

Not actually too bad Kev. Ive only had a couple of flights with it so far and they were actually very normal with regards to flight times.

Once I figure out the Kosmik's logging stuff I will have accurate info to go by so that will be better.

Got some flights with them this morning. Only run in ones as I always run my packs in for a good few flights first. I expect to get a few more flights soon and will report back more as I go.

So far so good and boy was it hot out. Even the Kosmik was getting hot for the first time lol.

What were the temps? My motor (4530LE) and ESc were at about 48-49C after 5.40 sport flight (13.5 pitch/1700 hs), packs were at 38C.

Did not measure them but the ESC I could hold my finger on but it was hot. I could not hold my finger on the motor for a second so friggin hot.

I will be using a temp gun soon to measure everything.

I was not using my canopy with the naca duct in as thats the Opti one. Today I was using my busted black and yellow one and as you know even Pyro's get hot under there so I'm not concerned by it yet.
