that looks sweet, im looking to build mine into a case for storage, so limited to a PC PSU.
not sure wether to build so can charge 2x lipos or more power and so can charge 4x lipos
ive the figures of roughly 125w per lipo for 6s to charge.
but what limitations would I have if I used a 300w icharger? or would I also need to match the chargers capabilities with the PSU power to deliver the power to the lipos.
my options are -
500w Pc PSU with a 300w Icharger to charge two lipos at high speed.
or
800w PC PSU with a PL9 or PL8 to charge 4x 6s lipos at high rate.
seeing the fact the heli uses one lipo per flight and I wont have more that 4 optipowers it seems to be more sense to go for the first option.
either way will be a neat install as people who will get to know me I have OCD with wires.

PL6/PL8 all the way, future proofing yourself & capabilities of charging 4+ batteries.
When I started out I planned on just charging a couple of packs but then soon found out even 4 packs was not enough, now have over 12 packs
my fault, optipowers are only supposed to be charged at 1C anyway arent they? if im charging at 1C im basically charging more batteries in the same amount of time.
I was thinking of perhaps just running the cheaper icharger 106b and the 650w psu will run this all day long then I would see what charge rates id get with two 6s lipos at a time if not just let it charge single lipos much faster than a 50w charger.
so will the 106b pack enough punch with a PC psu, or not pack a punch? IE charge a 6s without sweating, would it manage 2 6s lipos?
Im thinking eventually to upgade the PSU at a later date for a higher power and amps current one claims 32a but has been bench tested to only 22amps, still not bad for £25
I have to be honest, that combination is right on the edge.
It is probably going to let you parallel charge two packs in a bit under an hour.
But my concern is that if your PSU is only really capable of 22A or so then it is right on the limit. The charger is also going to be a little limited as it really could do with a bit more than 12V.
