Just be aware that the chargers are limited in terns of what they can pull from a 12V source.

In some cases it can be as little as 400W or so.

This is why we keep talking about server PSUs and going 24V rather than 12V. With a charger capable of 24V of course.

Nothing wrong with the PSU you now propose to buy if you really want a 12V supply but you'll find most chargers won't be able to make full use of it due to the current limits at 12V.

In my current case im limited to a PC psu, if all goes well and I require more power I will convert to a 24v PSU, but for now its only going to power a single 250w 106b icharger and single lipo. I may try parallel charge out of curiosity.

..because for the money, you are doing what most chargers do. There are chargers with built in AC adapters you can buy off the shelf with almost the same capability @ £50.

If you put £40 extra into it you could have something that charges over 6 x 6s 5000 @ 1c. Even if you don't or won't have that many packs (yet), Lipo technology is developing quickly, and safe 5c charge rates will come soon I'm sure.

Yours will be fine for now, buy give it a few months and you'll need something that delivers more, a lot more.

but in a few months I will still be using 6s 5000 lipos. I will be happy with what im using.

for some reason people think I need 1000w 24v supplies with £200 chargers to charge multiple packs at hyper speed.....this is not the case. im satisfied at charging lipos individually at a faster rate and at the same time have a neat and convenient soloution for all my lipos and charger in one box.

so far my PC PSU has cost me £80, my 106B £80, the case £35, will be spending say £10 on plugs and wire, thats only set me back £205 excluding lipo costs (£400)

the £205 so far is still less than a premium charger that I just dont personally need in my situation.

....and PL6 is £160, can be found cheaper. I paid £25 for my 24v supplies together and I got 3 cases for over £20, plus £10 for wire.

                So £215 total.

Yet the capabilities of the above system are far greater, for pretty much exactly the same money.

but I do not need those capabilities, nor do I have the space to keep all that stuff, in the single large case I can fit the PSU, the charger AND 4x 5000mah lipos in one box, its a simple soloution that suits me to a tea.

Good on ya, stick to your guns Phill. Just because everyone else goes with the flow, that does not mean that it is the best or most efficient way of doing things. It is your time and your money to spend/wast as you like. As long it all fits in your case then good on ya dude.

Just a note. The 106b+ won't take 24v so if you do upgrade later need new charger. Shame you didn't go for 206b. I use 2 of them on the 24v side of my case to charge my 600efl pro packs at 4c ish.
                        And a 106b+ on 12v for 450,250ect packs.

Also think abount heat when u put things in cases. Fome will make wires look neat but make sure u can get some air flow around it. Ofc if not pulling much power it's les of a issue.

Probably stating the obvious, but you don't intend to actually use it located in the foam like that I hope?

Same goes for the psu space at the back.

These devices will need to be outside the foam in the air before you use them.

I would check where the 106 takes it's fresh air from, the cooling fan on top does it exhaust air after drawing it through vents & over the heat sinks or does it push air over the heatsink and exhaust's through vents in the case? either way you may need to re-think the amount of foam around it to stop it over heating.
