I have a problem with my Raptor 50. The tail is not stable and it is currently unflyable. It is certainly not a new heli but has always been good as gold.
On the ground the tail behaves properly on both head lock and non head lock modes. Once the engine is started and gets up to full headspeed, sometimes before it takes off but sometimes once airbourne the tail will quickly move left and right up to 90 degrees then go hard left or right and stay there when on headlock and in normal mode with the stick in the cente position as if the gyro is trying to set itself. You can move the tail back to centre using stick inputs but it will move slowly back to full hard over once th stick goes back to centre position. This can only be corrected by turning off the model power to get it to reset.
I have tried two Futaba 401s and an Align 790 gyro, changed the tail servo from Align 655 to Savox 1290, checked tail boom and tail casing for cracks as well as changing main bearings and starter bearings. The engine is an OS 50 Hyper and i have changed the bearings in this as well.
I think the problem has got to be vibration but cannot find it anywhere. I have also changed the tail output shaft and bearings and changed the plastic tail blades for Ripmax carbons. Main blades are carbon fibre and as a precaution also swapped these over with my X50.
Any ideas? Rob
