    Much, much better IMO .

I updated it a little here: Laurence Gough UK 3D RC Helicopter Pilot's Blog - Viewing post > Raptor G4 Review

Not much loss in pitch but the engine performs much better under load. Also cyclic is faster and just better overall for my style of flying.

A big thumbs up from me .

nice blog, thanks for sharing ur thoughts on it, one thing, what gov sensor did u use, i wanted to use the specktrum but its a weird shape and wont fit on the 105 backplate cos of that round hole they have put there now, i think the futaba sensor is the correct fit for there maybe.

i have just used the align one, with the vbar. (need to swap the red and black on the senor wire)

Just used a couple of metal CSM mounts (needed to grind a bit off the side so it fitted on the engine casing).

Thanks . I used the Spektrum sensor with the Spektrum mount, you fit it sideways on the backplate, it still picks up rotation and fits fine. I've heard that the Spektrum sensor likes to run on more than the 3.3V the V-Bar gov output provides, so I took the sensor power leads and used them in a plug I created to be plugged in the servo port above, that way the sensor gets the full bus voltage and works better (it's fine even on 2S lipo voltage).

That's correct it is made for the Futaba sensor but that doesn't mean you can't fit others on.

ah cool, think i will give that a try then, save messing putting a magnet in, i have me throttle servo plugged into that port atm, so which do u use for your throttle servo ?

Csm sensor for me and cut a slot off the bracket to fit around the 105 crank case works a treat.
                      Cheers

Quite a few reports of problems using the Futaba BPS-1 sensor, even with higher voltage. Not sure why though as it really should work I'd have thought.

after a quick google it seems that the futaba gov is having issues with vbar , thanks for pointing that out mark, back to the spektrum

Channel 4 I am using as output for the throttle servo.

they already put the grips together at factory , did u fetch the bearings out and see if they had greased the races?
