It's the best 800 class I reckon, quality and solid. Ok if you fly hard you get 4:30 but if that was another brand drop another minute. Mid range headspeed 6:00 and low speed until your bored.

Interesting reading all your comments above. I love this heli. Being flying it since Jan. I have gone with the headspeeds of 1100,1400 and 1700. Kosmik 160 paired with Pyro 800-40 Competition. I get 18 minutes 1100, 12 on 1400 and 8 on 1700. Running 12s 6000mAh. Just wish I could put a fuselage on it .

Interesting you say that Zimbo as I was convinced my headspeeds were lower than I thought to get the flight times I was experiencing. Have you run a bladetach to confirm your headspeeds?

Which 6000Mah Lipos did you manage to fit in?

What's your flying style though to get those flight times? I couldn't get near those times at 1700 HS on 5500 packs on 12s, 4 1/2 mins was my max which just made it a waste of time for me. Since converting mine to nitro it's transformed how it flies and getting 7 mins now.

I'm deffo no where near a 3D pilot. I just fly some big air and some inverted so my motor will never command loads of current from trying to keep up headspeeds during frequent and large pitch changes. I reckon the freewheel in the ESC will me more active in my flying style than someone who flys 3D, extending my flight times.

Hi Jonesheli - just reading off the results from the KOSMIK datalog. I am not doing mad 3D, just basic 3D. I prefer smooth transitions so I am not changing direction massively quickly - although occasionally I just need to throw it around. I find it has more than enough at 1400 for most manoeuvres. I'll download a log when I get home. I use the Turnigy 6000mAh packs. They easily fit. I have an extended lead from the ESC to the back of heli so I can connect the power at the back. Never had any issues.

Hi Jonesheli,

Bavarian Demon sent me a brand new unit. They asked me to send my unit for testing but said that they'd send a new one anyway so that if the problem remains they know it wont be their FBL system. So good service from them.
