      Size

No release dates as of yet. Sorry.

Effects and benefits of a larger rotor disk?
      - with more power and a larger rotor disk you are able to move a mass with more authority or collective "pop"
      - faster forward flight speeds
      - better tracking in forward flight

There is a lot more I could get into about head block size and how it relates to flight characteristics but I will save that for a face to face conversation.

      Sincerely,

      Matt

How you getting on with the flight count Matt...

I get the feeling that a new benchmark in .50 .55 size heli's is about to be set....so looking forward to watching a vid....

          Video

I put in some flights today, we are up to 83 now. Flight 80 and 81 we filmed today. I will take a look at the footage tonight and see how well the camera man performed.

Fingers crossed he's managed to pull together a quality video. I'll have to stop looking at the pic's as my YS50 is pleading to move home. Any news on when the finished canopy will be ready to see and will it be like the N9 white with the screen done or possible pre-painted versions.
            Cheers

Can't wait to see (buy) it too!

Is the present "right on the button" CG based off the airframe with no canopy or is that weight considered? I know with my Vibe50 in it's current electronics/hardware configuration CG is perfect with 1/2 tank with no canopy but nose heavy with it on.

Would you mind sharing your electronics, motor, pipe config? I'm assuming by the pictures (some of course are obvious or you have already mentioned) you have:

                  - OS50
                  - CY MP5 SB
                  - CY ATG
                  - BLS451 or BLS351
                  - 9256
                  - 9650 throttle?
                  - Radix Main Blades 600mm?
                  - Radix Tail 95mm ?
                  - Futaba R608FS RX
                  - TP 1800 MAh Lipo
                  - NEW Futaba GY520 Gyro ??
                  - Hayes clunk line w/Fuel Magnet
                  - Regulator ?? (what voltage are you running on cyclic?)

Do you know the mechanical throw ratio from servo(s) to rotor head? Guess why I'm asking?

                  Thanks again!

                    Hey Puma1824,

Right now without a canopy and 1/2 tank I am slightly tail heavy. With a canopy it will balance perfectly. All of the weight and balance calculations were done in the design phase within my CAD software so there was no reason the model would not CG correctly. However, keep in mind these calculations were done base on the weight of the individual components which I selected.

                    - OS50
                    - CY MP5 SB
                    - CY ATG
                    - BLS351
                    - 9256
                    - 9650 throttle
                    - Radix Main Blades 600mm
                    - Radix Tail 95mm
                    - Futaba R608FS RX
                    - TP 1800 MAh Lipo
                    - Futaba GY520 Gyro
                    - Hayes clunk line w/Fuel Magnet
                    - Duralite 6v Regulator

Mechanical throw ratio from servo to rotor head is 2:1, I bet you are looking at a flybarless N5...

                    Sincerely,

                    Matt

So if I add - If purchase price and spares are priced reasonable (Bit of an open statement - was tempted to say akin to Align but not to extreme)
