I got to see the electric Rave 90 being flown a bit today. I really like the look of it.

'Missed the X factor as I had to spend 3 and half hours on the train back from Charmouth. But I should be able to catch it on a repeat thingy soon.

It refered to a vague not locked feeling on the tail But today on the advice of our club heli stig (Roger) I strapped it down , (the gyro) and then on another heliaddict's members advice, I upped the travel adjust to 110 % and I now have a much better tail

Unfortunatly he (rexy the 700) is still incontinent & its getting worse so its tank out for me

If it is the stopper plug that is leaking I found that by putting a large washer front and back and compressing the lot with a M3 nut and bolt I made the stopper a bit bigger and it sealed perfectly.

no unfortunatly its the clunk bung so its off to boots for some ky gel just to shoehorn the tank out of the frames

Anyway back on track ,....... last night saw me get the frames together and one by one remove , loctite , & do up the frame bolts, tedious but I followed Brian's so far excellent instructions and tightened them up in a criss cross fashion whils presing down on the frames on a flat surface, in my case a glass table whilst watching X factor this seemed to go well and the frames are very rigid and seem to align themselves.

Then It was install the engine time, in my6 case an OS91 HZ this is where the instructions came unstuck , they don't give specific details on each engine you may use I opted not to fit the supplied engine crank washer and ended up with a clutch that hung below the clutch bell by almost 2mm, so out with the engine and on with the washer . This sorted out the problem I hope.

Next comes the replacable under carrage crossmembers and the carbon base plate followed by the undercarrage, nothing remarkable here just functional & strong althought I personally would have liked to see frame strengtheners like the rex and skid caps but they are easilly sourced.

Thats it for now as tonight will envolve the removal of the servo's from my Vibe 50.

Oh the flybar or flybarless debate is still raging but I found out one of the guys in my club has experiance of the Total G so that should help
