The metal bearing block is a CY upgrade, the plastic bearing blocks supplied with all the kits works ok but at the very least it's a good idea to change the top block to a metal one. I've just replaced the top one only on all my Raves and that's enough IMO.

The very first flight on my Ballistic the owb bearing supplied seized up. I wrote to CYE and had a reply from Curtis himself. I explained that I had a fleet of Raves and had zero issues with the ENV's sprag bearing and wouldn't expect this to happen first flight. With no discussion he asked for my address and sent a complete ENV owb free of charge, £80 in FL! Fantastic customer service, zero issues now.

You'll love the Ballistic Pete wether you keep it 600 or stretch it to 700, personally I'd stretch it as it makes a light machine that way.

I'm actually tempted to leave it as the 600 for now, it's only blades and boom if I ever feel the need to swap over later.

If you take a little time to find good 2nd hand deals you could round up most of the electrics pretty cheaply. Suitable motors usually come up for around £50.00 or sometimes less. A set of Align DS610s or 615s on the swash, 650 on the tail, YEP120HV or 2nd hand Castle Ice2 and a BEC or reg and then the flybarless unit you like and Bob's yur uncle.

-- I was going to say, you can always build it first as a 630 size because you'll be using pretty much the same servos, motor, ESC anyway. Then you can stretch it later if you want by just getting the longer boom and TT, tail pushrod and longer blades, maybe run a tooth less on the Pinion.

I'd be interested to know what the ready to fly weight comes in at with 600 size packs, say 3000mah ish. My electric converted Hirobo SDX is 4.2 kg with only 2600mah packs and a 600 size motor and it flies great, it doesn't really feel heavy in the air.

Come to think of it, I've got a 700M / 510 motor you can have, gratis. It's the one that actually came with my Rave but I didn't use it because, inexplicably, it has non standard connectors, so it just needs to be fitted with bullets (which I might just do anyway as it's only a few minutes easy job with the torch).

Keep it 635 I have sab 630 blades and I run 3500 opti packs and it rocks, I just love the way this heli flys, there isn't many 600 sized blades you can use as the bolt holes are 700 size

4 min steady 3d running 2100 head speed, but if I beat the the si!t out of it 3.30 . Sport flying at say 2000 hs you should get 5 min, but I have never tried that lol

It was a bargain @ £175, a good crash will cost more than that in spares ... We all love a bargain.
