saw it for the second time at dmhc yesterday it is mind boggling!!!

outrage g5
Was he really flying it or had he just lost control!
The reason I ask is that it is similar to my CX2 coaxial when I flew it out of range but in my case there was no sound!!! And it was a while before I was able to fly it again!!!

NEVER heard of manny?
lmao...your missing out!
http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t416374p1/
see for yourself, by his own admission he is a "world class pilot who is up there with youngblood". as you can see from his video with the 600 there.....he might like a bit of BS now and then.
edit- here is the clowns website http://www.rchelidoctor.com/
my favourite quote (note how he speaks in 3rd person all the time on his site and below)-
cheersAs of now - His flying skill level for comparison is rated among the infamous professional celebrities such as Alan Szabo, Curtis Youngblood, Scott Gray and Jason Krause to mention a few in performing ground daring Advance & Extreme 3D manuevers (what they can do - he can do as well on helicopter) and working on competing with major RC Helicoper events. He also offer private instruction and helicopter setup for any style of flying. Helicopter flying is his passion and fun.

Crazy to want one ?
So, if a beginner (who has been reasonably succesfully putting together and hovering a few 100s indoors) had been looking at the G5 manuals, and was thinking he maybe fancied one more than a B400 for going outside, would he be completely mad ?
It looks stable, and tunable, and I love the way the swash servos are arranged - it's got that 'why doesn't everyone do it that way ?' inspirational look.
High voltage, high motor speed, low head speed, long flight time also makes sense.
It was my favourite heli/flight at DHMC.Yes, it's th@ tw@ Scallyb@...

he got involved in rc heli's! so the only answer is yes! ashley certainly put on a good display concidering the strenth of the wind that day. the heli is absolutely ballistic but i dont know wether it is tame enough to be usefull to progress on! perhaps ashley can answer that!Originally posted by scallybert View PostSo, if a beginner (who has been reasonably succesfully putting together and hovering a few 100s indoors) had been looking at the G5 manuals, and was thinking he maybe fancied one more than a B400 for going outside, would he be completely mad ?

One of the reasons I'm optimistic is that on P5 of http://www.outragerc.com/manuals/manual_G5.pdf the upper mixing arms can be set for {beginner/intermediate | Advanced/3D | Not recommended for 1st flights}.Originally posted by Boggy View Posti dont know wether it is tame enough to be usefull to progress on!
But it would be good to hear from the cognoscenti.Yes, it's th@ tw@ Scallyb@...
