Tell me about it. There is no spares in uk atm. But Germany has loads. Just ordered my batteries from hobbyking.com. The battery p/n is eflb2002s30. Mine are turnigy's equivalent.

Just got one from monarch models. Had this heli for 10 minutes and very kindly crash tested it :P. 7 crashes so far into walls, the ceiling, me (all with TH) and no damage at all. Flies very stable for its size and flips nicely. Tail does have a bit of a bounceback but apart from that its been perfect so far.

Too aggressive for inside though - I managed a few flips but that's about it without crashing!

Would love to know how you did that in just 10 mins !!!
Just had a quick go with mine and basically it seems to fly like the 130- no fuss, no drama- does what it says on the tin

What do you think of the stock settings??

Re: New Blade mCP X BL (Brushless)

Flies great with the settings on the manual but the expo is too high. I took it down to 30% and put the rates on 110 . The pitch is really high on 100% too probably why it had so many encounters with the ceiling!

May change the tail gain a bit to see if i can rid of the bounceback.

I only need one small heli, I use them instead of the sim as I don't get on with the sim. The MCPx was great, but it just blew out all the time.

just got mine from kings lynn models good price i think ! £132 inc free del. totally different animal to v2 or v1! agree too much expo as mentioned above. did have one prob today when it flew off into light fitting!! turns out one of the little brass nuts on the servo thread had worked loose, fortunately no damage fitted it back on with some glue and all ok so guys, u may want to check yours. other than that loads of power reminds me of a quark sg i owned for a while but not so well built (yeah it was pricey). so far i think its great time will tell. can see my v2 collecting dust

Have you had any issues with servo binding? Needs a faster roll rate atm. Managed to get it to piroflip at a push but they do look funny. They sort of start off ok and then look like they're going completely wrong and then the AS3X all of a sudden seems to kick in again to flatten out the pirouette. Piro comp is rubbish.........i'm sticking a vbar on it LOL.

Overall it's a great little heli and bags more power than my Nano (although i've yet to try it outside with the new BL setup). Just need to wait for more batteries to turn up so I can do a little tweeking.

Well, just got back from the field and can add to the above comments that yes, roll rate is too sedate- mine is up to 125 and even with my hamfisted attempts at backwards circuits- tail holds solid and blowout's are history, only negative thing I can add is the tail bounce back- worst in normal mode and a slight annoyance in stunt mode- manageable but would rather do without I think !!! -How does one adjust the gyro on this????

Got loads more power than the original its based on and feels a lot like a smaller version of the 130,,
All in all, a nice update on the mcpx,,,

ps; just found the cure on the freak !!

Re: New Blade mCP X BL (Brushless)

Exactly what I found after flying today in the garden.

It is not a replacement for the 130x though imo... it needs much more correction than the 130 and also the piro compensation is way out (probably due to cg or powered tail) so again it needs loads of cyclic correction whenever a tail input is added. Also it would be nice if the piro speed was a bit higher.

I sort of regret selling my 130x now however this mcpx is far more durable (loads of crashes today) and simple so I'm guessing will be very reliable unlike the 130.

One thing i will add regarding balance and cg.... You have to take the canopy off to seat the lipo properly in the housing. The lipo does not push all the way under the bracket unless you have the canopy off and push up the far end of the tray while pushing the battery forward. I had not noticed this and thought cg was terrible. I suddenly noticed and now it is a lot better. So take your canopys off when you fit the pack just to check it is going all the way to the end

This was the case with mine anyway. Be sure to double check..... Plus.... don't just try and look with canopy on as you cant see properly....
