Hi everyone, looking for purchasing advice. Been loitering here but first post i think. I used to have a shuttle zx heli some yrs ago and have since used the phoenix sim, but havent bought a proper 3d heli yet. I'm happy with a cp heli and can hover inverted, do flips, rolls,loops, etc and struggled with some untidy hurricanes and clean inverted figure of 8s. I've followed the mcpx threads for a while and think its about time to get one.

The real question is what else do I need? I have an old jr x347 radio which i think could be converted to 2.4ghz but will probably get a Spektrum dx7s with the bnf kit so I dont have the hassle of replacing the coin cell battery, tx battery and module. I was planning on ordering some turnigy batteries (not sure how many, probably 5 or 6) and a turnigy accucell 6 charger. I anticipate dinging it a few times so what bits should I order for my 'flight spares kit'? I'd like to get these at the same time as my heli order.

Am I right in thinking the new BL version negates the need for most of the common upgrades that people did with the original mcpx? If not what upgrades should I consider getting in the future to get it running sweetly?

Has anyone bind this heli with Futaba and DM8 Spectrum module?

I'd also be interested to see if anyone has managed this...? Contemplating getting a Spectrum but if this can be done...

Took the plunge! What a beast! Loads of power makes the nano cpx feel like a mcx2! I did get some tail wag out of the box, HH said that it should go after a few flights. Will wait and see! Haven't played with the gain as yet but just set it up on the tx so will see if it helps. No crashes as yet touch wood, but saying that its a very intimidating little heli! Rock on HH ;-) roll on the BL nano cpX :-)

I read on heli freaks that the big chip on the back off the board gets really hot and risks burning the antenna wire or the battery wires if they are close and shorts them out! So be careful of that one make sure that the wires are clear! I ordered some small heat sinks to put on the back of this chip they will arrive soon and ordered extra to make the postage worth while so if anyone is interested I have about 5 up for grabs at £1 plus p&p PM me :-)
