mine has just turned up, won't be playing with her for a while as i just finished a 12 hr nightshift and can hardly keep my eyes open, so i am off to bed like a little boy at xmas
Well im definately not getting one yet until the "bearings" issue is sorted at least. And I have noticed there are 2 in the for sale section already, doesn't look good HH.
The one that was returned to the shop had been crashed twice !!The owner remarked that the blade tracking went out and a noise apeared before the bearing finaly let go. So you cant realy blame the model for that. I have had a couple of batts through mine now and I think its still a bit tight and needs to loosen up,it flies ok at the mo but I would not like to do any 3D in a small area.

There isn't a problem according to Horizon. Just dodgy forum posting.
Horizon Hobby response to Bearing Failure reports
The following annoucement was posted to Horizon's German site (Google translation, with a few manual improvements)
Dear Blade Enthusiast!
The company Horizon Hobby has this week to the Blade mCP X to the market, certainly the most innovative platform in its class. The Hubscvhrauber is a fully functional CCPM helicopter Flybarless and is therefore to be considered as a performance helicopters. For this reason, we have a service bulletin pointed out that these helicopters are operated with the same care needs, such as a 700 helicopter. With these security measures, a sound and safe operation is ensured at all times.
Since the appearance once again play a role in the forums with an attempt by the helicopter targeted rumors and false information to discredit. It turns out that members have to submit comments on the operation and safety of the helicopter without such or to have ever flown. Obviously, this is the typical reaction from the forums, but have little in common with reality.
It is written, that there are problems with blade holders and bearings. We have checked those comments and unfortunately could not find those problems, neither in our lab in the US, nor in our service station in Germany, nor in our manufacturing facility in China
We have a tensile test performed on the rotor with a load of 35kg and could pull off the blade grip in any case of the camps. In flight, in accordance with existing calculations the maximum tensile is 3kg. We want to ignore the two cases, not known to us, are they investigate further, because the time is unclear whether the helicopter in question previously had a crash and so a base damage as a result of that could be developed. There are scattered wild theories that claim that the bearings have been installed incorrectly. These theories are groundless.
The Blade mCP X has been developed to the best of my knowledge and belief of Horizon and represents the state of the art dar. There is certainly no unsafe product, and the pilot is much enjoyment, when operated with due caution.
