I for one am getting sick of all the new products being released that are having problems so early on at the moment. It's nuts that we just sit back and take it, be it failing blade grips on the mcpx, various issues on the DX8, tail boxes twisting on the new outrage, Align with their seemingly endless "extreme" upgrades which are there to fix a problem etc etc. It's a bad show in a hobby which could prove life threatening if something fails at the wrong moment.
Totally agree Jamie and I'm defo not sitting back and taking it as we dont accept it with anything else we buy so why should heli's be any different.

              • I really wanted one of these, but with the bearing issue. should I wait for the next batch?

OK, new grips are just £7 but as others have said, why should I have to pay extra!

                  • Just a question tho...

The manual says to charge the packs at .7amps, isn't that 3.5c charging on a 200mah pack???

I thought the recomended is always 1c??

I always take "helicopter design faults" with a pinch of salt. I picked 3 out of the thirty RTF versions delivered today and all of them were absolutely fine. I crashed my personal one over and over again to try and pop a bearing or get a blade to fly off but to no avail. (which is good!!)

According to my own experiment.... this heli is the dogs!!! If my customers come back to me and say that bearings have popped or blades have flown off, I will normally replace for free. I genuinely think that its down to individuals not checking the model before flying.

Anyway - its up to you. Horizon have not reported a fault with this model so I don't know what the wait would achieve. Take it from me.... its great fun!!!!

Very tempted to order some of these. How many are needed? 4 or 2? Does anyone know if these are definitely suitable. For the sake of a few quid it's better to be safe than sorry.
