Got my 130x....Nooooooo!

130x came today, got LiPo on charge, set up Dx6i, got it bound. Went to pop it up and BAM! Swash goes hard right and blades slap the floor I did manage to get it off the ground with subtrim to allerion and rudder. Disconnected LiPo, reconnected and it does the same meaning I would have to set it up every time I plug in a new LiPo! Gutted!

Shall I contact HH direct or where I bought it from? Really want to be out with it on the weekend

Run through the setup section for the DX6i again, just in case you have something wrong, like the swash type or one of the reverses....

All settings are set to manual, tripple checked. I have a faulty 3in1 from what I have been reading.

Found a video, this is what happens. With throttle hold on, swash goes up level. Flick it off and this is what happens.

Mine is the same minus the vibe.

Ah OK, sorry, that's weird.
Have you done a rebind since?
But, if it's a known fault then, yes, speak to HH first, they're very proactive when it comes to customer service.

There is a trick where you unplug the motor turn it on and flick hold on, then flick it off and watch it tilt over on its own, then go into subtrim and trim the ail till its level. You will notice when you hold subtrim the values will keep going before it rolls over the other way! Just change it bit by bit watching for it to start creaping the other way. When done plug motor back in and fly. MIne was the same as that and now it will hover inverted 2 cms of the deck without constant imputs.

Yup - that video was my first 130x. I sent it back to HH with this video. They replaced it as faulty.

EDIT : By the way, the roll over only happens on take-off. It you "pop" it up really quickly, it will sit into a stable hover. That said - it was still fault and I sent it back. My replacement doesn't do this at all and has worked perfectly ever since.

Simon, I had a whole bunch of problems with that particular heli. The swash wasn't level, it shook lke buggery and it had a faulty AS3X board - hence the swash tip-over. If you watch carefully, you can see the swash starts to tilt even before the motor actually powers up.

Bottom line : it was faulty and I sent it back. My replacement was completely different and worked fine.

Mine is like this too. Did the subtrim trick and it was fine until today. Now the tail doesn't work properly. Sending it back when I get back from holiday

By the way, the video below is the very same heli (before I sent it back). If you watch carefully, you can see the right swash tip-over on take off. Once in flight, it was fine. But every take-off was the same ..

For a ~£150 heli, you want it right ... To be fair to HH, they agreed it was wrong and replaced completely. This is the response I received from them at the time in response to my youtube vid ...

We have looked into the issue with your 130x and believe there may be an issue with the main board. We would suggest returning it to your retailer or ourselves.

Nick - no, this was very different. If you watch the vid at the top of my old 130x, you can see that the swash tips fairly violently even before the motor starts to spin. For the 2 days I had this particular heli, take-offs were a nightmare. HH accepted it as a fault and replaced it.

My replacement 130x can sit on the floor, with blades on and spool up no problems without tipping .. watch ...
