That would be about £250 vat, plus £8-£13 admin fee, so still well over a £100 saving on UK prices.
Don't forget the 4% import duty charged on the model plus vat.

Is 4% the rate for RC helis? I didn't look it up as it's always tricky to get the right category.

              If it is, then it comes out at £1528 : 1224.37+4% = £1273.35 : 1273.35+20% = £1528.01

plus whatever the admin fee is. Still well over £100 cheaper than Fast Lads. Who's doing them for £1500? I'm just curious, I won't be buying one, but that would be the way to go.
Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.

The 4% is charged on the kit plus vat and all your postage etc. The 4% is for all imported goods regardless of what they are. There's very few items which it isn't chargeable on.

Import duty depends of the type of goods. Many goods have a 0% duty rating such as mobile phones.

As far as I can tell, RC helicopters (category HS 9503007900) also have a 0% import duty rating.
