    Hey.

The main change here over the old Trekker is the direct to swashplate links, the Trekker has the older E's push-pull system. Which is equally as good, but for the demanding pilot less links equals less play developing quickly over time and a more direct control feel.

Intrigued by new style servos, will compare their spec to current BL700H's.

On the skid front I love them. Can see them perhaps hindering sideways flight, in a similar way that the Goblins slab sided boom would to, but overall I think their cool. Personal preference here though and a marmite decision.
Will they fit my 700E DFC? Hope so.

There's another very big difference, new main frame design and direct servo to swash layout. It's a definite improvement over the Trekker.

i honestly thought Align had gone out of business when there was no new model released last month....you know the one, the one that supersedes the brand new kit you've just spent your hard earned pennies on and spent all your spare time carefully building

i'm all for inovation but come on Align, give the average Joe at least a few months to enjoy his shiny new model before it becomes 'the older version' and so destined to join all its siblings seeking a new home on BMFA classifieds.....just my 2p worth and its a forum so i'm allowed

Align have a great business model most successful Heli manufacturer on the planet. They know new trends and modellers are fickle now so keep releasing new stuff works for them. There are better engineered and designed Helis that haven't changed in years as they don't need too but how many do they sell, not many. Just the way the hobby has gone was a time you bought a model and kept it, how things change. Sometimes I think I have should have an Align in my fleet, no fun needing a part and can't get it except from overseas like on my Whiplash!!

Considering the original trekker has been out for approx 12 months, in Align terms it is well overdue for an update, the skids are hideous mind....
                Happy Flying! Thanks - Dave

Are there no massive wide chord tail blades we can fit to Align helis so we can run lower head speeds and keep the tail authority?
My 600n flew great with some broken and cut down 450 main blades on the tail for a while.

By the way, with align you can still get the spares for the original 600n, 500e etc. and often the newer design parts are a retro fit. Sometimes you just have to mix finish colours.
Many other helis the spares dry up a lot more quickly.
This massive one is aimed at a very small market though - not many folks want to spend 1500 on a heli - and I'm guessing very few people are going to fly such a thing hard enough to risk a crash!

You might have to pay Vat + extortion admin fee. It's always a gamble, unless you buy from the USA, then it's a certainty.

That would be about £250 vat, plus £8-£13 admin fee, so still well over a £100 saving on UK prices.
Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.
