Rich you are a demon. I built my 500 just before you started your 450 build thread and I am still working that out and you are now through your 600 build....Awsome
Send us some vids of you going hard on the 450 :-) dont you do like 300 flights a day.... I think you set a record here. I am determined to beat it. What was it again for a weekend?

          Cheers

The braid opens up quite large. When you start with it, make a clean cut with some side cutters, the melt the very end of the cut with a lighter for a second of two. That stops it from opening up. You have to take the servo end off the wire to get the wire through, cut it short of being the full length of the wire so you have space to add a little bit of heat shrink at the end. Don't add 400 metres of heat shrink to the end because frankly it looks wank! Just about 5-10mm tops. Just tidies up the ends and keeps them from splaying open anymore.

I wish I could do 3D! With the 450 i'm learning circuits and figure 8's. I decided to learn the basics again as I was getting way ahead of myself and skipping things out and it made my flying very messy. I fly almost everyday in the garden with the mcpx, maybe twice a week in the garden with the 450 and twice a week at the local community centre. The most I've managed is 48 flights over the weekend so far. I now have a very good charging set up so I might be able to beat that soon once I can get a weekend free again. I only bought the 600 as it was the right price at the right time. I was going to get a motor and blades combo kit then build it up over winter. At this rate it might not see a flight until the end of August.

Yeah I found I was getting way ahead of myself. Starting to do some inverted. I was side on hovering and got too far away from myself. By the time I flipped it back up the right way lost orrientation and had a big crash. Now just trying to get the basic forward flight neat and tidy. Just too eager.
Wow you get to fly every day. I get to fly on the weekends if Im lucky.

                Cheers

Same as. I just wanted to hover inverted and kept doing it and the amount of near misses I had was getting beyond a joke and the law of sods was going to bite my arse sooner or later. So I decided to start again with the 450 and get hovering right in all orientations, box flying in all orientations and circuits/8s spot on before I move on again. And now I have a 600EFL I'm hoping to stay 5 steps behind the 450 with it. Starting again has calmed my flying down and I can already see a big improvement in control.

Well I'm just waiting to collect the CC BEC Pro and then its electric's time on the 600. Should be interesting. Thanks Dani_r for all the pictures and wiring ideas I have been going through them and working out what i'm going to do.

                      Hey

I'm just having a look at the wiring and placement of the electric gismos and was wondering where to place the sat Rx. I have the AR7200BX which will have the wires coming out the right hand side, looking from nose to tail, horizontally. I have a 30cm extension lead and was thinking of putting it below the tail servo and vertical. Will this be a good location?

                      Thanks

There's loads of space at the back, so anywhere there should be fine. Just using the one sat? If you route the wiring the same as mine, the right side of the frames will already be quite full, so route in along the left side back down towards the back of the heli

7200 only uses one sat as it has a built in receiver....I believe my understanding is accurate?

                                Hi

I'm going with the wiring on the outside of the frames for the moment until I'm happy with the setup then it will be moved inside the frames when I have the 20 flight checkover. I will stick the sat below and to the left of the tail servo. Its the same as yours Dani_r just outside for the time being

I was just about to start on placement and realised I had forgotten something for my servos power supply. I decided on a 2s lipo through the CC BEC Pro to feed power to the Rx. Whats missing from the picture?
