See if you can get the wire and plugs unassembled, you can make custom leads up that are the perfect length and not over long.

You'll need a 15cm servo extension for the tail I routed my wiring back towards the tail and round the bottom for the cyclic servos as I originally had them routed underneath the pitch servo. This dropped too close to the main gear for my liking. PITA to strip it all down again to get good access to do it, but worth it. I just just servo extensions again on these.

I feel, as Sacko does that these things take just as long to wire properly as they do to build the rest! Definitely worth it though. Beautiful to fly.

This is how mine is looking at the moment, apologies for the poor quality pic.

I'm also going to be removing the cable ties on the ESC, looks crap!

          Hi

I managed to get a 15cm extension. Sadly they didn't do the make your own kits but the length is not too bad. I'm looking at putting the wiring inside the frame but need to get all the servo's and electrics in first.

Sacko- Do you have a link to the LiFe battery you suggested please. MMMMM V-Bar if only I had the extra pennies I would have one without a doubt. I'm mounting the ESC the same as you and will stick the AR7200BX on the gyro mount. This looks like the best way to keep the wiring nice and neat.

Dani any chance of a picture of your wiring please?

It's pretty small as you will only get 2 flights from it, but it's the only one I can find that fits perfectly in the side.

I have the QuickUk mounts too which have lowered the front of the canopy
I think as it now touches the ESC.

Get a Vbar, buy once, buy right

            ...on sale at Midlands too.

Dam that is very cheep for a V-Bar! I wish I had the funds for it. I still have to get some 6s batteries yet!

Thanks for the link. Will I need to use the step down regulator for the tail servo with the LiFe pack or is that for higher voltages like the align 2s pack? As you can properly tell I have never used a separate battery pack before.

I'm not going to. I used the DS650 straight off a LiFe pack with no issues before.

I'm going for the GensAce 3300 packs at electricflyer.

                  Thanks for the info.

I have my eye on the GensAce 3300mAh too. I use the 2200mAh ones in the 450 Pro and they seem a lot better than the turnigy equivalent.

                    Pretty much finished now

Just need to solder on an EC5 and place the sats somewhere.

Very neat - wish my wiring looked like that :/

The Voltz 2100mah packs are good and they are 'slice shaped' so they fit perfectly where you (paul) has put the ESC - I squashed the ESC into the side where the vbar is.

Voltz 2100mAh 2S 6.6V RX 20C LiFePO4 Pack VT210020C2SI get around 4 flights for each charge - probably could push it to 5.

Apparently you can also run HV setups with the align servos unregulated, so that could be worth looking at:

I looked at going HV as I have ran 610s straight off a Lipo with no issues previously. It doesn't really offer any advantage over a LiFe pack though, just
Means more expense due to needing a new tail servo.

That looks very neat and tidy. Interesting to see how you mounted your motor as I'm having difficulty getting the wires to route without pinching or rubbing. Will give that a go now.

I have had to file down the plastic cut outs on the radio tray. As standard they are far to shallow.

                                Function over form

                                To save some space in the canopy, I'm going to wire up my packs like this;

                                x 3
