My Trex 600EFL Pro Build Thread

Hey just an update.

I have now finished the air frame build and now need to get the electrics set up with the AR7200BX. Im also still waiting to go get one as I have just not had the time to get to TJD models. Arggh! I have also been looking at the wiring and where i'm going to run it. Looks simple but no, lots to think about. The wiring will def be more of a challenge then building the main frames.

A quick question. The front tail drive gear seems to mesh tight. Is this normal or can I adjust the boom to loosen it up a little?

Mine isn't that tight, there is no way of adjusting it.

Your main blades aren't fitted the correct way round

I will have a strip down and have a look at the tail just to double check.

I've stripped the tail gears out to check them over to see if i could loosen them up. I found nothing but after I put it all back together it now feels better. Strange.

I will be getting the AR7200BX today or tomorrow and want to use a LiFe pack to power it. Has anyone used Hacker top fuel LiFe packs? Or have you heard any good or bad reports?

After I crashed my 600 my replacement TT gears were a bit stiff in a certain position - so just a couple of teeth etc. Made no difference to the way it flies, and once you put the head on it all feels smooth anyway

Also out of interest what's wrong with the main blades in the pics above? I've just spent about 5 mins looking at them and can't figure it out lol

How are you running your servo power? Li-Fe pack or BEC?

I have just been offered a CC BEC pro to borrow. I just can't make my mind up weather to go Li-Po/BEC or Li-Fe.

Hi mate,

I've just re-read this thread and noticed you wanted some wiring layout pics. I'll do that for you shortly!

I power mine with a 2S 2200mah lipo and a CC BEC Pro. Works good for me I know exactly where I'm at in terms of what the pack has left as I keep a lipo monitor on it. I'll get you some pictures in a minute.

Thanks for the pictures very helpful. I had noticed that the tail servo was a pain looks like a session with the drill later. Thanks for the tip.

I think I'm going to take advantage of the CC BEC pro with a optipower 2150mAh 2s lipo. Like you said you will know where you stand. I might make a start later on the wiring if the weather cools down.

At least I now have this.
