I am fitting the 16t pinion and will get a couple more flights on it today,we will get one of them video`d for posting later,I am making a Balancepro to Align 5s lead up now so i can charge it properly in future.

Charged the pack with my Balancepro charger and it has once again proven to me the importance of proper balance charging,cell 1 was much lower than the other 4 and cell 4 was doing its own thing but after an hour on the charger its all tickety boo

Left the pack for 30 mins then stuck back onto charger and it took 2 mins to top it back off and all the cells are acceptable,needless to say,i will NEVER charge anything other than a 3 cell Lipo on a mains lead in charger and even they will be for quick convenience.

hi Chris looking good mate & the vid was impresive.
Is the pack sat that low to fit the canopy on or get the balance?
It seems to be sat lower down the tray than my 6s Flight power.

Currently using FlightPower 5s and 6s Packs which are very nice but quite expensive.

I was kinda thinking on the way back from the field,feel a bit sorry for Align,i mean what are they gonna do with all the unsold 600E kits because the way i see it,who is gonna want a 50 size 6s plus electric with its expensive packs when the T Rex 500 is available?.Did 3 more flights today and i am bloody loving this model now and finally the cost per flight on the packs is a sensible level.
I am unsure whether i prefer the 15 or the 16 tooth pinion yet,have to see how it plays out,i may favour lighter loads on the Lipo and slightly reduced flight performance TBH,meaning putting the 15t back on.
I have some video but the camera was struggling with focus so it isnt a clear as i would have liked,i will however upload and link it later.

I Am now intending to stop all further 600E purchases,i will make do with the Lipos i already have for mine,i was planning another one soon but that has been completely shelved as far as i am concerned the 450 and 500 is where its at

I can have 2 two 500 Lipos for the cost of one 600 one and to me the 500 flies just as good so although i also love the 600E to bits i wont buy any more 6s packs until i am left without any.

Whoops almost forgot,the Maxpoly is performing well and as it stands,i will be buying Lipos solely from them in future.
Oh martin,the pack needs to be there to allow canopy to fit,but it balances fine in flight.

Can't help but agree with you Chris, I have two 600e helis and love them both but have decided to make my 500 the heli I am going to fly for the moment.

Wouldnt dream of parting with either of my 600s and can fly them at any given time but this 500 is just the bizz..

im only starting out at this leccy lark and although my 500 experience started out less than perfect after this weekend im absolutely hooked, i'm only running the revo 2100's at the moment so want to update that but to be honest I want longer flight times as im getting through the 2100's in 4 mins. and it just aint long enough.

These maxpoly look well interesting at the price. so come on boys lets have lots more data on them

you'll have to wait a little bit, I have strict instructions to run them in for three flights, so hovers only. I might pop out a few times tomorrow in the road and just run off some hovers to get it over with

From what i have seen so far i personally like them but as always would suggest everyone to do their own research and go with what looks good for them
