Interesting, if i'm reading between the lines correctly, about the imbalance, that may be down to using the pro prog when the lipos are new, I should think then that the first few charges being the critical ones as the cells are settling its probably best to balance charge them for their first few cycles.

I did discuss the 6S pack with Andrew but I'm still of the opinion that 2500 although a good weight does produce quite a short flight (circa 4 mins) and you can get better power on 5S with a big 4000mah type pack, with longer duration.

However, remember that the 5S 4000 will gain more flight time just the same as a 6S 2500 if you reduce the beating it's getting and it still has more power over the 2500.

Cell IR is all nice and close and voltage is spot on.

However, to check voltage divergence (capacity mismatch) I would need to be charging from a lower discharged state rather than 50%.

Ah I need a 2nd motor with a 16T pinion on it to drop in...

All my packs are 6s at the moment....

I just loosen the motor, pull of the pinion and fit a different one. Done at the field it takes about 5 mins.

I am going to start getting accurate flight durations and recharge amounts on the 16t and then put the 15t back on and repeat as a matter of interest,i will attempt to keep routine similar to get an accurate picture.

I may still favour the 15t myself but on either one the heli sure does fly nice,and i like the weight although i would be interested to try a lower MAH 5s sacrificing duration for a better power/weight ratio

The maxpoly is right on the limit to provide decent power, the rule we came up with ages ago was not over 500g and it's proven to be a good rule of thumb. The maxpoly is 495g.

Just checked my 4200 Revo pack #2 its on it's 12 cycle and i had a little Whoops at cycle 6, i pulled 3968mHa out of her so down to around 5% left in the pack, not good, and as i got mike to make these up for me fast there is no ballance tabs on them atm so after 12 unbalanced cycles and discharge abuse my pack voltages are as follows > s1=4.17,,,s2=4.17,,,s3=4.17,,,s4=4.18,,,s5=4.18 so I'm well chuffed with that, there looking like very strong, reliable lipos !
