I was kinda thinking on the way back from the field, feel a bit sorry for Align,i mean what are they gonna do with all the unsold 600E kits because the way i see it,who is gonna want a 50 size 6s plus electric with its expensive packs when the T Rex 500 is available?.
Good point Chris but I wouldnt feel too sorry for them as I'm sure the 500 was launched due to falling 600 sales. Align are very good at market research & there assembly line is very adaptable I doubt they have been caught out with the success of this model.

Charged the pack with my Balancepro charger and it has once again proven to me the importance of proper balance charging, cell 1 was much lower than the other 4 and cell 4 was doing its own thing but after an hour on the charger its all tickety boo
that don't sound to good how much different ? can you give voltages m8
or send me a copy of the graph as i would like to take a look just for my own interest.
Cell one was about 0.150 volts down on the other four, think i got my decimal places right..
At start of charge cell one was 3.800 and the rest were as near as a knats whisker to each other around 3.925 and they all rose together until charger went onto balance mode when cell one was 4.050v and the rest were all 4.193,then cell one came up to match the rest, total charge was cell one 2.100mah and the rest all about 1.925mah..
Have done 3 further cycles today, all recharged with Balance charger and cells are well within what i would expect so its totally due to me using the Prodigy 2 direct into the deans.
Also my flying excursion tomorrow has been abandoned as i have to go back up to Southampton in the morning but hope to be out Fri Pm and maybe at the weekend

I can email you the graph tomorrow but you will need the viewer software to open it.

Are so the imbalance was after using the Prodigy for a few cycles without balancing ? didn't think they should go out of balance that quick though.

Once its broken in fully i will charge it with Prodigy 2 again and then stick it onto Balancer to see if it has made a pigs ear of the charging process.
never used the Prodigy to charge 5s before so i dont know how good it is,always seems acceptable on 3s stuff though, again i will post my findings either way
Unless the packs are exactly the same capacity they will discharge at slightly different rates.
What we are probably seeing here is a small difference in capacities across the cells causing one cell to go lower on voltage. With balance charging it's not an issue so long as you don't run the pack to it's limits as in this scenario you have four cells holding up voltage and one dipping very low and this is when damage can occur.
Its coming off the model fine now so it must have been a from new thing or caused by the Prodigy 2,either way i am glad i made up the Balance lead for it
Also after my last flight with it we measured the temp, the middle cell was 33 deg C and all around the outside of the pack it was 28 to 30 deg C
