A lot of it comes down to how well it takes a crash. The 130 holds up OK but the common breaking parts always break and can cost abit to run. I don't believe parts prices are available for the 150 but I would expect them to be competitive. The Heli looks like it will hold up better to a crash.
The performance increase compared to the competition is where the extra money is well spent.

Mark, the easy answer there would be, get a Futaba radio and then it's a £180 micro

I would snap one of these up straight away but it's not compatible with Futaba FASST, big disappointment

I have a couple of spectrum sats waiting to be used , so does that make it £25 cheaper. Well that is what I could tell the wife. Result

The FASST modules are more expensive which is exactly why futaba brought out FHSS, for cheaper applications like this. This really isn't a surprise as both the 250 and 450 plus only support FHSS.

On a side note it's interesting to see it doesn't come bundled with a charger... Bit annoying to take it out the box and find you can't charge the thing!

I find it interesting reading the generally negative comments both here and on Helifreak regarding the additional costs of adding JR and Spektrum connectivity to the 150. While people that use a non Spektrum/JR radio system have to stump up considerably more than the cost of a sat Rx and obtain another transmitter if want to use any of the Blade range of BNF heli's. At least Align are offering some connectivity options while Blade are not.

PS I have both Spektrum and Futaba and I'm just trying to making an unbiased observation... I hope!

                            Fair comment Mr SGD.

For me, I suppose it's not the connectivity options (which in fairness are good), but the fact that a micro goes past the £200 mark.

Having said that, I'll probably buy one anyway, simply because I cannot help myself when it comes to new toys

I'd try to avoid the price point issue with my post as it was intended to highlight how successful the Blade/Spektrum marketing has been with their brand marriage.
We won't know for a while yet how good or bad the 150 is but as its pitched against the 130x I don't think it's priced that far out. Both my 130's have costs me over £200 just to get them something like reliable so hopefully the 150 won't require the same level of commitment out of the box and we can just get on and fly it!
