    Hi

I understand both the Gasser and 700E are not high priority for Align as this type of model will only sell in small numbers no matter how much interest there seems to be in it.
I know they are working on getting a decent running gas engine sorted out, that is the only hold up with the gasser, all std gas engines suck in one way or another and there's no point in them bring out the model until the engine is sorted.
One things for sure when they do it will out sell all other gassers just cose you know it will be good and a sensible price too:-)

    Cheers
    Bob

I'm not sure even at the prices you've quoted that if your using the above set up it works out that cheap for 6 1/2 minutes flying? Don't get me wrong I think the brushless motors & lipo's you can buy now produce a lot of power, and as I said I think big electric heli's sound great when they spool up, but how many batteries would I need for a day's flying. If you need two at a time to get 12 cells how long do they take to recharge, without spanking the life out of them? Would you need 4 or 6 to able to fly several flights during a morning or afternoon.
I'm curious because I've alway's gauged the cost on the price of cells here in the UK but if they can be cost effective then you wouldn't have to lug a petrol can round with you.

I think a 90 size electric is only a serious proposition if you have other helis to fly on a session.

Much like the 600 nitro v Electric debate of old. The Nitro is a no brainer if you want to fly that particular machine throughout the session or if thats your main heli.

A 90 size electric, at this point in time in development has to be a secondary machine for fun and games

                  Just my opinion though

I agree with you 100% mate, could not be a stand alone machine
I could see having 4 x 6s packs to run a 90 e on but thats about it, would cut down nitro usage on 90 machines though, thats why i still love flying my 600 due to fuel useage, used over a gallon this week already, thats half a 90 6S already

I agree also,i am interested in seeing one but the thought of having to charge 2 x 6s 5000 packs for one flight is a no go for me.You would need several packs or a good supply of leisure batteries etc if you plan to recharge a lot at the field which takes valuable time.

I am running 10s 4000 on a 50 size electric and thats about as big as i want to go myself.

I will take a serious look at the 700E.

Now packs are sensible money especially. I love my 700N and i have flown it all winter without a single issue. Went to FBL and even better.

I just ask myself if the 90E will bring enough smiles for the buck and whether i need one or would do better sticking with nitro.

They do sound the nuts.... and i'm a sucker for that too

The other problem with big electrics and its no disrespect to Aligns motors and ESC`s but you really want to be running decent kit in it.

I always ran my Rex 500 and Rex 600E on the standard Align kit but swapping to Z Power motors and Jive esc`s has made an absolute world of difference.

I wouldnt even consider turning a blade on a 700E unless it had a Jive 110hv fitted but they are probably as expensive as the actual kit would be

My next motors will all be Kontronic Pyros but they are mega money but good.

Certainly wont take nothing away from Align,i am in no doubt that they get better and better with each new product they release.

You can say what you like about them but they dont seem to be happy when they are sat still.

Align are just starting to get their motors sorted. The 450 Sport outrunner is a nice motor, as is the new 500 outrunner. I hope to try the new 600 outrunner shortly but if it follows suit it should also be a good motor........and from the pictures that's an outrunner in the 700 as well.
