  • T-Rex 700 E - Official from Align Soon

Align’s forthcoming Trex 700E incorporates a bottom mounted Align brushless out-runner motor. While many aftermarket conversions utilize this configuration, with the motor mounted on the bottom, this limits the overall battery size.
The power-train gearing has been changed to a coarse tooth modulus (a replacement for the original Trex 700N nitro gearing will be replaced too). The bottom frames also have received changes to allow for ease of battery installation.
This Trex 700E is a special design incorporating a locked column aluminum chassis with a T insert two-headed structure to provide a negative ground, allowing a fastener to attach through and conduct via the carbon fiber and aluminum to disperse electrostatic discharge and reduce possible radio interference.
No word on pricing or release date from Align.

No worries, looks like one to watch, the proper Logo 700 is likely to be very expensive and a V Bar`d Align designed 700E would be just as desirable and cheaper

Possibly yep,the benefits are certainly more noticable and desirable for electrics.I would personally not be interested in a flybar version myself.

I really wish they would do a V2 600E of similar layout where you can run 10s stick or 2 5s packs thru the bottom also the same as the Logos.

Yeap spotted that and the main unit below !

You should get a longer flight with FBL on electrics as its more efficient - less drag etc...

Hard to tell from the pictures but have they changed the bell crank geometry? It looks like the links from servo to bell crank are parallel, unlike the 3G conversions currently available -have they shortened the bell crank instead of using a shorter servo horn?

                      ooh... flybarless :-)
what they should do is shorten the bell cranks and use a swash with a smaller inner ring to limit cyclic throw.

So i take it this will come supplied either as flybarred or FBL with a motor and ESC!

Be interesting to see what ESC is offered up as this is not Aligns forte when it comes to electrics and it will need to be a monster wil it then come with 610's and BEC etc too?

Shall we play a game of guess the all up price RRP

Where will it sit compared to Nitro LE and 3G offerings?

BTW, the 610 swash servos in my nitro-700 FBL have exceeded all expectations. Let's hope they last...

I'm totally with you, it would be ideal for a V- Bar.

But if i were them why would you put a design on the market which would benefit another FBL system and lose out on sales of their own system.

Also it means more testing and may be new parts to design.
