The Photograph pic is a test bed design isn't set in stone yet.

Align seem to be noting what people are saying on their Forum I'e Pack layout.

BTW, the 610 swash servos in my nitro-700 FBL have exceeded all expectations. Let's hope they last...
They will...... just don't tighten the tabs down to tight and they will rock for ever

I run 16 x 610's across my fleet now and Moonmanflyer is running even more without fault.... spot on

But if i were them why would you put a design on the market which would benefit another FBL system and lose out on sales of their own system.

Also it means more testing and may be new parts to design.
This is a mechanical problem, not V-Bar specific.
If the servos are overloaded, they follow the commands only loosely and develop a life of their own. There isn't much you can do about it in the software, whatever the name of the box it runs on.
The geometry is not hardcoded on the V-Bar - the opposite, actually. You can adapt the software via "cyclic gain" to whatever geometry is used on the heli. The problem is, it can't fix the abovementioned problem with overloaded servos. Neither can any other flybar controller.

It's the same very basic insight as on a conventional flybar heli: You want to utilize the full servo throw for the targeted pitch range or swashplate travel range.
With flybarless the idea is the same.

oh I'm not going to tell Align how to design helis...
well, unless they want to hire me as a consultant.
"extend blade grip links to 35 mm as used by Outrage and Mikado, shorten servo horns to 2/3 of the bell crank and maybe use a swashplate with slightly shorter ball spacing on the upper ring."
                That's $10000, plus VAT

Presumably Align had to occupy their R&D guy's minds as they appear to have failed dismally at managing to produce a 700 gasser. The leccy heli's alway's sound cool though and are rarely short of power, shame the batteries are so damn expensive.

Agreed, the packs from Hobby City,Zippy,Rhino and Turnigy are not only cheap but they are actually bloody good too.

Whats even better is HobbyCitys German warehouse is getting more and more of a product line every day,the prices are still in USD and the same almost as the HKG store and there is no risk of customs charges from there.

Would not consider a UK supplier for packs now until they get real with the asking prices.

                            T-REX700E 3G prototype testing shared
                            Flying with:
                            ALIGN 700M Brushless
                            12S 5200mAh 40C Battery
                            690D
                            DS610X3
                            DS650
Hover around 1700 RPM rotational speed pitch 5 degrees
3D rotational speed is about 2100 ~ 2250 RPM plus or minus 13 degrees pitch
After a few trips flight test, T-REX700E prototype power and performance can be quite prominent, every trip violence, 3D flight test time about 6 minutes and 30 seconds to 7 minutes, 3250 ~ 3400mAh battery recharge temperature of about 42 degrees, the motor temperature is about 52 degrees, about 45 degrees electrical changes
Recently, the testing process will be posted on video and fly with flight friends Share
