Check out the spherical tank! Not sure if I like it. I suppose if the clunk length is correct then it should help keep it submerged in fuel but looks odd.


As for the carbon U/C I was never a fan.

yeah I don't like that and I HATE the skids. Still looking forward to seeing the full thing though, not that I'm going to be able to buy a new model this decade!

+1 on disliking the skids.
Another advantage of the spherical tank is that you can put the fuel outlet anywhere so easier for maintenance and a sphere is better for withstanding pressure if you're running a regulated engine. 1 friend has split 2 Trex 700n tanks with his ys120srx engine.

Well it's different with that tank, which is cool. I think it looks pretty nice!

Seems like an odd choice though - the non align heli market is slim pickings already and the nitro portion of that is even smaller... surprised it justifies the investment.

Yup, I know what you mean. The hobby seems to quieting down a lot, and I think it's FPV is responsible partly. I don't mean this is a bad way at all... instead, I simply mean that people that would have found the heli hobby, have taken up multirotors and FPB instead and it's easier to get into thanks to the DJI being sold in high street stores etc.

Anyways I digress. Unfortunately, AleeS/Evolution never got a good following over here, which is a shame as the Rush is an outstanding model. IMO, the quality is well up there with Synergy and above TT, but like most, the parts are overpriced and with what happened to Outrage, people aren't interested. AleeS was on its way to becoming a very good brand with a great US following and support team, then politics got involved the AleeS was no more. It was bought out or rebranded or whatever to Evolution and there are at least two new products on the way. Plus, they sell parts worldwide with free shipping...

To be honest mate, I dont browse the alees section over at heli freak that often and it's dead here, but I still have no clue what actually happened. Fingers crossed it'll release this season at a decent price, but unfortunately I don't expect it to be popular over here, despite it being undoubtedly a fantastic airframe.
