    Hi,

Like to fly at the moscowRcClub flying site but hate the flags are not moving at all, so removed them.

    Place in "C:\Program Files\PhoenixRC\resources\environments\moscowRcClu b_planes\medium\"

    Cheers!

Excellent job now if only I could get them to work on my desktop. They work fine on my laptop but I can't see the sites in the change site browser, anyone any idea?

Don't worry found it. What a dullard.

Night Neighbourhood Flying Site from me.

        http://www.mediafire.com/?e2yd8vqgyb2

with reference from equirectangular file from flicker, with thanks to the image author.

        Included files:
        N_hood_no_sculp_pxf
        N_hood_wh_sculp_pxf

        Use:
Rename Night N_hood_no_sculp_pxf to Night N_hood.pxf to using flying site without any boundaries from pipe sculpture around (default in this pack), just avoid buildings only.

        or
Rename Night N_hood_wh_sculp_pxf to Night N_hood.pxf to using flying site with boundaries from pipe sculpture around, so avoid this, using any small size rc electric airplane model.

        Happy cyber flyin.

            Thanks for Oldesloe Winter.

Could you use these images instead of the current ones? http://www.szenerien.de/FMS-Szenerie...eeszenerie.zip
Files are high quality BMP files, which PhoenixRC also supports.

you changed the dds to ones taken from a different view thats why the lighting and objects don't fit. (completely different perspective)

I looked at doing the one you changed it to (i liked the sky better) but decided to go with the view most people are familiar with.
the project file for the winter scene i did would be no good for this one.
it would be quicker to start over with a new project than edit the one i have (its a bit like taking the image files from flying field and hoping they will fit the objects at Moscow rc club)

when i get time i will do the other winter scene from scratch so that it works properly.

                Hi,

Yes true I know the images dont fit OK like this. These images better match the original Oldesloe that comes with PhoenixRC. No project of that available. Starting a new one is the best indeed.

Also I just noticed the EULA in the zip and recall some sceneries being removed from sites as the image owner is not happy about using without his approval (like the BargteheideBridge one)

                Cheers!

if that happens fine... I'll take them down.
but if it was me i wouldn't care who used my panorama images in other flight sims.
We're all RC enthusiasts afterall and others wanting to get the use from any work i do is fine by me.

NOBODY ever reads those anyway they just load up thier sim and fly at a scenery, they don't give a damn who took the photos

I'll be doing some scenes of my local field soon and also one for Robgt of his field.
and if anybody wants to use the panorama images in say realflight.. aerofly... whatever, thats fine by me.
(i won't ask anybody to seek my approval before using them, at the end of the day they are just photos)

Probably unlikely but are these compatable with Realflight at all?

I don't care either if one would take my photos and use them elsewhere. But I guess not all think like that.

Hi, you could use the DDS files and replace in a different realflight scenery. But lighting and objects etc won't work OK. Realflight swap pages contains plenty of good ones though.

                      Cheers!

Thanks. Never really looked for different flying sites on the swap pages before as always just used the ones that came with G4. Will have a gander later.

realflight uses spherical mapping for its scenes.... (1 big image wrapped to the inside of a ball)
phoenix uses cube mapping (6 images mapped on the inside of a cube)
so unless you use some piece of software (pano2VR for example) to piece the 6 images back into 1, they are unusable in realflight.

heres a scene i made for realflight of my local field

But you can still swap the DDS files right? Just downloaded your RF scenery and replaced the DDS files in StPeterOrding-Strand_v2 scenery. Scenery images look fine in PhoenixRC.

                            Cheers!

later versions of realflight G4 i think don't make DDS files.
this one was made in G3.5

                                Confirmed.

G4 using same dds, in series ***_1 - ***_6, that you can import directly to Phoenic creator with auto option.

See your documents/realflightg4 folder, in g3, this dds include in instalation directory.

                                Rgds.
