Is there any shop or individual in the UK that will completely build a scale heli to order?

I am interested in a vario EC135 in either turbine or electric but dont have the time to put into building it.

Any ideas anyone?

Aye, im sure I like the building more than the flying, even tho I try to convince myself otherwise LOL. And doing another turbine model would be ace!! Last one I did was a boomerang jet about 8 years ago. They've moved on a lot since then and are a lot simpler!

I think there are quite a few that enjoy the build more than the fly ........ I find it quite satisfying but I'd sooner have a lil mechanic to pass me the finished build ready to smash

Me too ... I enjoy building, cope with setup and enjoy flying... Building & tweaking is good fun too and seeing the end result when its flying.

Im researching this now, and my word have we got it simples with a 90 nitro! LOL

Lets just say "Zee Germans dont make it easy on ya!" You need degree's just to work out what bits you need!

They do look the dogs wobbly bits tho and worth every inch of hard work!

I'm a builder too - enjoying the flying when I get a chance but really do enjoy the build and the fine tuning. I so want to build a turbine scale heli but would not want the responsibility of doing it for someone else.

That bit doesnt bother me Jon. Ill get a right buzz outta building n test flying. To do it to a good standard its a few hundred hours work. The actual making it fly is the easy bit! Its making dodgy molded fibreglass look something like and lining everything up so theres no vibrations thats the hard bit!

Ive found a few videos on vario ec-135 build which im gonna plonk me backside down n watch later with a few beers. Ive about 120 pages printed out off the Vario and Jetcat websites I need to digest and understand too

But had a good chat with Pete this afternoon and he seems a stand up bloke, so I wouldnt wanna do a sub par job. Im confident I have the skills, I just have a lot of research to do, and then a lot of discussions with Pete.

Gonna be one hell of a build thread if I do build it!

I put a 450 (mixture of clone and Align) in an Align Hughes 500 body - looked lovely - flew terrible (no power). I also do a bit of military modelling. If you want your heli shot up, muddy, rusty, leaking oil I'm your man!!!

Just watched about 2 n half hours of pure geek, furry lined anorak job Vario build videos! Im Phsyced!!

Some good tips n tricks there I think the main Crux of it is get it flying first and formost and handling nice, then get the detailing done. One of the vids I watched a guy went to town fitting eveything on, frenching everything in etc before even testing it. Which could have been a pita if something mechanical wasnt right.

Onwards to more geeky research! Im loving this, real brain food!
