Hehe thanks Zee! My sausage fingers certainly don't help much either, but needs are must!

I tend to go a bit OTT when it comes to building, I'm trying my best not to do too much otherwise I'll get more texts reminding me of trying not to make it too heavy!!!

Sao is a good mate, he has helped me a lot with all sorts, so it's just my way of saying thanks.

MIGHT have some more done tonight..........

                          Finally the servo is secured..

I needed to be able to open and shut the FLIR for various reasons, sanding and smoothing, shaping, painting, and also to be able to replace the servo if needed.
It took a lot of head scratching, but I finally figured it out!

A small block of balsa with a hole, and soaked in thin CA to give it strength....

A small neodium magnet glued to one end...........

Glue into place with the magnet facing down.........

Cut steel rods to size(steel so the magnets hold on!)......

Put some CA on the other end of the rods, spray some accelerator(or use 5 min epoxy), close the FLIR, and they are glued into place!! I have added some epoxy to give them more strength so the magnets don't pull them out!

Works a treat! It's quite hard to pull the halves apart, these little magnets are strong!!!!

                          More later.............

FLIR hanger arms started. Two bits of 1mm styrene glued together, then a hole is drilled and a small bit of styrene tube added for the axle, and then marked to size.

Somehow I can't seem to upload more than one pic. As I upload the second one, the web page crashes everytime!!!!

So I'll have to do this one post at a time.
