Chris do you run a second battery?

Found that when you get carried away flying it, that the retracts can draw the battery down quickly if not set perfect.

Not as important if you are using proper retact servos

With the second battery at least it one less thing to worry about.

Looks like a thing of true beauty did it fly today any pics or video

I had a retract playing up and it kept collapsing while spooling up so i had to abort the flight and will fix the problem this coming week

We did have a camera running but im afraid the vid looks a bit comical and i aint giving anybody a chance to laugh at it

Mainly comprised of it spooling up,a rear wheel collapsing,the tail chewing up the grass and me running around swearing at it

Looks pretty though and its still in one piece

Swearing has been removed and its uploading now,,at least you can see the heli running on the ground,just use your imagination a bit

LOL - gotta love that last one - you know when toddlers are just able to stand up, and every now and then they just drop onto there arses! So reminded me of that!
I think you've got a dodgy retract myself

Smoke??? smoke means horrible oily mess everywhere, electric is the way forward its one aspect of helis that i dont miss - no horrible oil to clean off of every little bit after each flight.

looks great chris, although i bet your heart was in your mouth when it collapsed so suddenly like that

That was about the fifth time it collapsed but the other 4 had colourful language ,,also the 611 was doing strange things on the ground with the tail so its probably better that i didnt take to the air

Tailblades are green now instead of black also,,

I will sort the problems and the next time it will look a bit more professional

Just got back from London (well, just outside) and finally got to see the vid of it! cant wait to see it lift off finally, its looking goood!!
