I was talking to my mate today about generators for field charging my lipos when he chirps up... "I think i've got one of those in the garage"
Sure enough he emerges with this bright red, dirty oily knackered piece of junk, we tried start it but no luck... but he said if i can get it running again then I'm more than welcome to borrow it for long days at the field.
I used to have petrol lawnmowers and used to be into nitro so I feel I have a chance of getting it running...
It's not a overly powerful one, infact I think its only 230v/650 watts output BUT It'd do the job for now (and its free to use +petrol)
It does have a lable on saying its a "digital generator" So i would presume it would be ok
but from a quick google on the Kipor website, it says its a "Converter Generator" Not a "Inverter" one - can anyone explain what this means?
Also I will be using a PSU from a server which would then feed the PL8, so Genny>Server PSU>PL8
Will this be ok?
Anyone with any experience with these gennys say how quickly I could expect to charge 2 x 6S 5000mah LiPos (the PSU is 24v)?
Cheers
Matt
