Also quick update regarding the fried heli. The reason the gyro and tail servo survived is because the gyro has an in built regulator capable of 18V (possibly more for short spikes). Also the tail servo output is regulated thus protecting the 8900. Gotta love all these hidden failsafes .

        • Polo Digi 4's are excellent servo's, been using one on a couple of models and never a problem.

          • << Let the Bling begin! >>

Some of the new products we announced a while back are already coming out.

Personally I think the control levers should have been metal from day one but I guess they want to make as much as possible like any business.

            Fixxxer also spotted these:

            • getting the standard spares into the dealers would be a good start without trying to bling things up. Decent screws that dont twist off in a breeze and some standard bloomin Jesus bolts rather than items you can't get hold of. flippin people.
              All the best

50% of spares are in stock and by tomorrow 95% should be all over.

                • not much left to bling on a 500.......metal mixer arms and flybar seesaw would have been nice from day 1 but it's not like it won't fly well without them.
Metal horizontal fin clamp is always good as plastic clamps rarely work well.

Metal tail gearboxes I just see as bling for bling sake rather than adding anything of value. Also metal main shaft blocks tend to take all the give out of the system and knacker the bearings faster than necessary. You can crash with plastic bearing blocks and have the bearings survive, they rarely if ever survive on metal blocks. I can't tell much difference between metal or plastic blocks inflight.

                  • good shout, my tail boom clamp is worn already. queue a quick uk upgrade i guess.

the tail i have zero interest in doing, i probably won't even put the TT on this heli unless it is really really cheap. the mixing arms and seesaw would be nice metal yes.

a plastic canopy is top of my wish list and one with more room.

                    cheers

                    • the best upgrade they could do for me is drop the battery tray 3-5mm. Then a lot of 6S 3200/3300 packs would fit straight in instead of being a squeeze.

                          • I doubt Align will change the frame and battery set up but you can be guaranteed that the likes of Rotorworkz will have a solution before long.

                            • Align got the frame right for strength and rigidity, they seem to have fouled up a bit on the pack space. Unless we all run 5S.....which I might add I am still considering after flying the 5S 4200.
