great day you missed!!! there are photo's in the main section. i havent fitted the servo yet but have tweaked a few linkages, to level the swash better. it flys really sweet. (it already was bloody good)!! gonna do the servo somtime this week hopfully
Well guys, I've had closer look at the 500 after the smash, turns out all I need to repair it are blades, main gear and one set of 9650 gears. The canopy is battered but usable after I attacked it with some fibreglass. SAB's are due to arrive tomorrow, maingear and 9650 gears will be ordered tomorrow morning . Should be up and running soon. Also I should be taking delivery of some 3000mAh 6s Revolution packs in the next few weeks .
atleast the damage isn't too bad then. i just fitted the sabs to my own machine, i am expecting those to be better than the aligns in every way (they usually are anyway but we shall see)
mike just called to say indeed the 3000mah pack is on the building board so to speak and also the 10s charger is priced at £99 inc vat which imo is great value for what it is. the 4s charger is also likely to be reduced but unable to confirm by how much, so keep an eye out for that.
ashely, yeah andy told me about that. on a similar note i had to make up spacers to make my sabs fit, there was none with the blades nor the kit. but it shows them in the manual but i never got them, are they meant to be in the kit?
posted earlier by raptorheli2 and I think totally missed in the middle of a gyro um 'discussion' ......
should also add guys, the dc-up saved my arse today, the voltage went down to 3.5 according to it once during a flight. i sense a better esc in the offing.
if you everything you shouldn't need to spend more than 5-6 hours from start to complete finish. it is an easy kit to build. get a jump on time and make up the adapter for the packs now.
a tip, the motor/esc connectors probably won't fit in, you can pop the spring off them and file a bit off the end of the spring, pop it back in and the connector will push right in. try them first but mines wouldn't fit together.

Seconded - mine was carefully and steadily built in about 5 hours.
The banana plugs between motor and ESC (which come fitted and ready to use... just solder a Deans connector to the ESC and you're off) were impossible to push together by hand. I gently squashed them a little with pliers before pushing them together ising pliers on both sides - they won't be coming apart very soon
