thought i'd post some pics of the 3 most likely packs/sizes people will use and how they look in the 500, also included a pic of the dc-up for anyone intrested in it.
packs shown are 4200mah, 2200mah and 2100mah all in 2x 3s guise giving 6s. point i noted, the 2200mah revo packs make the heli very slightly tail heavy, the 2100's give a similar effect being lighter and the 4200's are pretty nose heavy. i have not flown the packs yet, just observation on the table.
oh one other thing, the dc-up/esc is set to 5.5v but it takes about 20 secs to build upto the 5.5v and not the 5.0v shown there, i assume it takes this long for the caps to get to peak charge?
I noticed those 3s 4200`s have a single Cellpro balance lead but i believe there are 2 of the 3s 2100`s in there,i assume they are just joined together and will balance as one pack..
If so they must be 3s 2p is this correct?
I have the 6s balancepro charger and also the Cellpro adapter lead...
Also another question, for convenience only and not all the time, could you charge both packs connected together thru the 1 plug to the ESC,,i have my Chameleon in mind for this?
The good thing with the 3s 4200`s is that i should be able to fit them into my electric plane for probably about 2 hours worth of flying,so at least they will suit more than just the one model
yes you could charge the packs together if you wish using the schulze.
mike is making a harness up to allow us to charge 3 packs at once with the new 10s charger and this will balance at same time which is a better option imo.
you are correct, the packs are in a 2p configuration i think. i assume the 4200 packs are just 2100 packs in p.
I've just bitten the bullet and got 3 qty 2100 revos from Mike. I went for the 2100s as they will fit the 450SE and my Zagi too.
Still not sure about the servos but will probably end up with 3 x 9560s and a 401 / 9524 with the rex 600e tail servo bracket (Thanks for the info Trvo ). Is Fung doing a deal on servos at the mo? (or anyone else like OAIRC??)
