just ordered my "upgrades" guys. see how it compares to the std setup. if it fixes the bad skewing doing anything sidewards (metros or pie dish) then i'll be very happy.

T-Rex 600 phasing - solved

Well personally I'm glad that the "unofficial phasing problem" that isn't possible to solve (as it's not offically a problem) has now been possibly solved, although apparently not actually solved, as not everyone is experiencing the unoffical solution to the problem that didn't exist.
Gald I got that off my chest

isn't that supposed to be "not everyone is experiencing the problem that doesn't exist that this unofficially solves"......or possibly "not everyone is using the unofficial solution as they officially don't have the unoffical problem that doesn't exist"not everyone is experiencing the unoffical solution to the problem that didn't exist.

Someone...please.... what is Phasing? I always hear this mentioned but have never understood the details!
Is it the interaction of ele & ail cyclic inputs? i.e Pulling a stationary flip but half way throught the manovaure it always scews off heading.
Sorry hard to explain an example of what i mean....
Cheers

Yes, exactly that.

And the best way to sort this out?.....Transmitter mixing...or mech setup?
Cause i've got it cronic...always blamed it on me not giving true inputs, tried stiffing up the stick on tranny, but no joy! I got to the point where i thought...it can't be me, it was something else, now i know!....but have never experienced this on any other models i've had?
Any running trends? Advise for sorting this or where at least to begin...Newbie to Phasing!!!
Cheers

If you have an adjustable washout base, or washout guide block, you need to turn it so that when you have the paddles front to back and you give full elevator stick, the paddles don't move with aileron interaction - and the same test can be done with the paddles out to the sides and giving full aileron stick - the paddles shouldn't have any front to back (elevator) movement.
If you don't have adjustable phasing (Trex600n) then you can try to program it out using program mixes to mix aileron out of elevator and elevator out of aileron feeds.

I got a Kasama head (non adjustable phasing) on my 50, I have never noticed a phasing problem on the 50's and I have only ever had a brief go on the 90 so I can't really comment on the larger 90 size.Raptor 50 V3 Titan

Phasing
The roll axis should be parallel to the tail boom.
The elevator axis shoudl be at right angles to the tail boom.
due to mechanical errors sometimes the roll axxis is not parallel to the tail boom.
to test. Hover tail in and do a flip to inverted. Is the heli facing exactly nose in? do a complete flip it should end pointing the way it entered (if your sticks are perfect) irrespective of phase errors. If not you have problems elsewhere, less than pefect gyro, less than perfect sticks.
Now if you however with it facing a bit to the side and flip invertted does it end up exactly nose in? try pointing off the other way. Now maybe you can tell which side of centre your phase error is - or you can make the adjustment see if it is worse or better.
All helis should have phase correction either on the frame (by moving the anti rotation post) or by moving the drive pin collar on the head block (but they don't). Raptor 30/50 has a moveable collar on the head block if you have the metal head block which most raptor owners who fly enough aerobatics to care about phasing will have fitted.
Is the phasing on the knight perfect? or adjustable? I don't think I want to buy a heli that doesn't have adjustable phasing. Though you can adjust it electronically using a cylock ccpm manager.
If you fly a heli a lot, and are talented, you will end up correcting for the phase error on the sticks. But then when you fly one with opposite error, or no error you will think its pants. Once of the reasons top pilots think each others helis are not as good as their own probably.www.heli-extreme.co.uk a good club in south Sheffield
