  • T-Rex 600 phasing - solved

The unofficial phasing issue has now been well and truly resolved, well pleased, I can actually do a tumbling loop now without almost killing all the spectators.

    Is that unofficially solved?

    Cheers,

ive was running 3degrees of phase timming Ive taken that off and it roll sweet to teh right but a Bi at ch to the left its gonna take a bit of transmitter mixing to get that right also the swashplate taller than its predececor and means I get more binding than I had with the old one. also the washout block becomes tight once installed and to fix this I added a couple of washers to set teh arms straight.

However Im still happy with the purchase

ok, the swash being taller I also had issues with, no binding at ful pitch but I had to adjust mid stick to compensate.

My washout block doesn't bind at all, anywhere, neither does Trev's......so that's an odd one.

If it rolls correctly to the right then phasing is correct, your left roll issues must be some other problem in your CCPM mix as you can't be in phase on a right roll and out on a left, it's either in phase for both ways or it's out for both.

Yeah, swash is taller, I'm running +/- 12.5 degrees with 10 degrees cyclic on a flybarred machine with no binding?

I have no binding on the washout block at all.

Best upgrade I've put on the machine so far

yeah its now not a phasing issue just another issue which is a ccpm type issue im also im not the only one with the same prob.

as for the wash out if you pop off the linkages from the washout arms to the head does the washout drop down? mine didnt.

I'll try it and post back but it all felt nice and loose when I fitted it.

Never mind the 3D swashplate and washout arms...

That was an awesome display of 3D flying Trevor..

                        Well done..

                          Thanks

Reason I've gone back to flybarred on the rex electric is that it's my primary machine and I want to be as used to flybarred as possible so that when I fly the flybarless I can feel the difference and tweak it. The nitro is very well suited to the flybarless and maintenance is easier since there's more room up front to mount the gyros.

The new swash is awesome, pitch is a lot more accurate now

                            got to agree.

lurvely bit of stick man ship. been flying mine today and think i must have been lucky and built it perfectly wrong. cos it is straight as a die with no adjustments but when i used the swash leveling tool it was quite a way out.
                            wierd.

is that before or after you bent it.
-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

                              And a DX8 too
