What's the new info? Still doesn't mention price or release date. Will be hard for me to try any other fbl unit after vbar but will wait for reports from average joe's and pricepoint.

Will be interesting,
Blimey as far as fast piro moves are concerned itll knock spots off the Vbar!
It has a piro control rate up to 1260 degrees a second, same as the new SK540 , the Vbar can only manage 600, thats twice as fast!
With the limited Vibe analysis compared to the SK720 as well it looks like Vbar have some catching up to do in the hardware department !
Mikado just announced a new black cased sensor at the weekend, and that's actually been seen by real people, so I suspect they may still be one step ahead

I would be very pleased to see Mikado using decent sensors, if nothing else it would result to a similar production cost for them as for us thus balancing out the price competitiveness. The hardware quality of flybarless systems has been going downhill since BeastX started using the el-cheapo Invensense sensors and Mikado blindly followed. These sensors are intended for games consoles and mobile phones; they are not designed for vibration environments and I have zero interest in using them. See here what's the difference:
Hi Angelos,
I for one will be having a Vortex, your past pedigree makes it sense to take that route, also do you know what sensor is in the JR TAGS01 system. Please get your Vortex to market as soon as possable.
Just what I always needed,a piro rate of 1260 deg per second,oh how the v bar has held me back
Lol, yep I know what you mean! I wouldnt need it either but there are plenty of pilots out there that dovery fast piro moves, which can get out of control with some fbl units!

Maybe at last it will be able to fly without the vibration analyser! ;D

While I respect everything you say, and you are clearly very clever, you have to look at it from another perspective (wether you agree or not). Are these "el-cheapo" sensors fit for purpose? I would say in 99% of cases that it's a simple answer; yes. The vibe analyser ive not looked at once on my 700e, but it did help me find a massively out of balance fan hub and clutch on my old 700le nitro.
While you can argue that these new sensors will give a far better experience through being almost immune to vibrations, they will also breed complacency. People won't bother finding vibrations that will be shaking every other bit of the machine to pieces, which in turn will lead to airframe and electronics failures in other areas.
Just so we are clear, what sort of cost price difference are we talking on the sensor alone? Same for final product, any indication of pricing? Quality costs, but is it always neccesary to go that extra step? Time will tell!
One thing is for sure, it's always good to have choice and competition, so hurry up and release the Vortex
