Thats not democracy. Thats just people voting Raptor because they have not played with a knight also the knight votes were split across the sport and the 3d. I think if you had offered the Raptor se as an option the votes would have been much more even across the 4 models. Good luck with the titan. Best get saving for metal bits to make it last. Get the steel tail hub now tho.

          Yeh

Shoulda got the SE version, its only £100 dearer than the superior Knight 3d

But it does come with a metal hub so its worth it over the standard Titan

Also whats the point of adding engine options, the engine is a separate concern and is available in any airframe

Seems odd to drive 80 miles to buy as kit that was probably available for the same price less than 10 miles from you They are my LHS but rarely the cheapest...

I heard buying a raptor was like buying a Ford escort MK 11.

I guess you have NO experience of the Knight 3D like I have none of the Raptor. So our comments are useless.

                        Hi Folks

Thats for your thoughts and opinions. I went with the Titan because of two things
                        1) the Airframe itsself had more votes than both the two Knight options
                        2) The Raptor series has a longer track record than the Knight. Not better. Longer.

As for the drive, did you see the weather today? What a beautiful day! Nothing like a lovely drive in the sunshine! Why SMC? Because I'm insane and they've given me brilliant service in the past.

                        Cheers
                        Andrew
I've got a perfect flying record - I've not left one up there yet!

                            Hi Ade

I see you offer flying lessions and such like on your site. Would you be interested, under the standard arrangements, to have a look at the Titan after I've built it and help me set it up, please?

                            Thank you

im not doing much training these days. Full time job and 3dmasters practise takes up my time.

sorry mate. Field time is a premium especially this time of year.

if you could get down to me one evening i could give it a full mechanical checkover and setup which would then mean it would only need 1 flight down the field to get it sorted.

still flumexed as to why you bought a titan...

I have stacks of experience of Raptors of all sizes,i have owned the lot and they are a good helicopter in all fairness

Its just that their latest Titan V3 is not as good as the Knight Sport or the Knight 3d

I own 2 Knight Sports and have only had a go on a 3d ,i also had a Knight Pro

The Raptors are still not fault free even after 8 years of production, they are expensive, the parts are freely available but are not the cheapest anymore

The competition has been coming and Thunder Tiger have been sitting on their ass doing nothing and now unfortunately for them, they are gonna pay for it

The Sceadu Evo is a better flier and cheaper to maintain,as is the Knight Sport

The Knight 3d is the current king of 50 class helis for Nitro power i hasten to add

The T Rex 600 is my current fave heli, its electric so i cant compare it to the nitros but its parts are rediculously cheap, freely available and it trounces the Raptor totally in flight characteristics

Buying a Titan is a safe option,it will serve you well but it has simply been outclassed by newer models and its about time Thunder Tiger came up with a proper replacement instead of a few more stickers and a couple of non upgrades

                                I quote their literature

                                NEW Longer boom(wow)
NEW longer drivebelt(i can hardly contain my excitement)
Both in a nice new Titanium colour(wot not black you mean)
NEW longer tail pushrod(that would figure)
And wait for it NEW Titanium coloured skids

Give them a prize, all that hard work by their design team
