  • Which 50-sized for a beginner? Plse vote now!

    Hi Folks

I've finally worked up the ocourage to tell SWMBO that I want another heli to compliment my small electric. Her response of 'Goodie - which one you going to get' leads me to believe that I must make the most of her temporary insanity.

So, my question is, which new .50 sized heli should I get? Use the poll above (if I manage to figure it out) to cast your vote, or respond below.

    Thanks
    Andrew

But I think 99% of the issues have been solved now and all new Knights are there. Just a few of the older ones may have issues.

Been bitten twice so I know, but the Knight Pro is a nice machine and you cannot have it

Titan or the Knight 3d with Hyper. If a new to ic heli's would tend to go for the Titan for ease of spares and probably knowledge down the club field.

I'm being different and going for the 'other' option.
It's worth looking secondhand for a Raptor 50 V2 with an OS 50 Sxh (non hyper). I got myself started with one of these and, apart from a servo upgrade, a change to a PCM rx (and a crash rebuild ) it has stayed as bought.

A cheap start (more cash for fuel and spares ) but you do miss out on the building bit.
                      Cheers, Lee.

Thanks for the help folks. The true power of democracy has been demonstrated: At the time of posting, the 'Titan's have is 12 to 9 over the Knights. I am therefore a proud owner of a Thunder Tiger Raptor 50 Titan kit with an OS 50 Hyper.

Oh, by the way: Remember in my opening post I said that I need to take advantage of my wife's temporary insanity? Well, I think it may have rubbed off on me - I just drive a 160 mile round trip to SMC to buy it!!

                          Thanks again

                              Hey Steve

Thanks for the wishes. I'm looking forward to the build too. My only other heli was a RTF electric, so this will be a first for me.

I've been pawing over the kit and its quiet exciting.

                              Cheers
