Why won't people name and shame scum sellers ??

Why? I'd rather do this than get my name dragged through the mud because the OP decided to slag me off before even giving me a chance to defend myself.

If you sold something on ebay then someone contacts you 5 months later saying it's faulty?

I have sold many items on here and not been accused of being scum.

One last little nugget of infor for you.

The sale was not done via this, or any other forum. It was done via email so was a personal deal between me and Darren. Darren heard about me via Craig who I have helped out over the past year building him a Trex 250 and fully kitting it out electronics with no payment up front at all. I sent the heli off to him while he still owed me for it as I trust people.

I can't tell how how much this thread has angered me. I've never been so insulted and the fact that you jumped straight on here without all the facts.

I think this thread should be closed before it turns into another slanging match .. I do not know either of you but if someone bought something from me 5 months ago and then wanted a refund they can go swing in hell ... The OP should have done this in pm's too as its angered another member on here ... This at the end of the day is a forum for like minded people and in all honesty I think the only way to stop n e of it is to get rid of the forsale section and that way it stops it all outright .We have more bun fights and threads over for sale and good and bad sellers .. At the end of the day we come here to share experiences of our everyday life and tbh this is why I aint around alot lately as it just seems to be getting worse ... oh and this aint a rant , this is just what I have been seeing lately on the forum ...

I... like many more have noticed a certain member on these forums buying lots of items only to sell them on as soon as the item is delivered trying to make a few quid. sad sad sad.!!!!

Also if this is aimed at me I very rarely make any money on stuff I sell here. Yes, I buy and sell lots.

I just sold my 500 ESP with DS620, 2 x 6S lipos and a heap of spares.

Had it a week and it set me back way over £600, Sold it for £375 to a guy from here.

I've sold 2 Trex 600LE at a huge loss. My finances are a lot worse than they used to be so one month can be great, he next can be dreadful and I have to sell stuff to get money in the door. It's the way of the world and I'll make no apologies for it.



It's at times like this I start to see things on this forum I don't like and to be honest think there is no place for me on such a site where people are guilty before proven to be innocent. That is sad.

Same here too Dan, brought a Align starter and it sucked so I sent that on after 2 weeks for the same dough + p+p and the 450 went for the same I paid for it with more bits as I had more blades and batts and spares.


When buying on here you should treat it no different than if you were buying of Ebay or the BMFA etc as when money is involved for most it does not matter who knows who and how much of a nice person they are, money changes everything.

hear, hear James..... I refuse to buy anything from this forum due to the "nanny state" attitude about not venting any anger publicly. any Seller knowingly selling dangerous or damaged goods on a the forum should in my opinion be banned.

soz didn't read the whole thread.. in this case 5 months is just a ridiculous amount of time to report a fault..
A sad situation that could have been rectified alot sooner, as the seller here seems a reasonable fella. heck, he has even offered a full refund for the TX after 5 months.

Voicing this thread out load without consulting the seller was a mistake in my opinion...
If you have a problem with an item (5 months later ahh) then take it up with them first via PM. Or in this case your friend should of if he didn't? Lynx is obviously concerned by the problem your friend has and has offered a full refund which IMO is pretty damn sporting of him for a sale from 5months a go. I do understand that If you buy something you would hope/expect the seller to describe the bad points/problems along with the good points of the item. But If the seller was unaware of this then they're not to blame. I really feel this has all been pushed quite far out of proportion! I too would be frustrated if this had happened to me but come on guys we need to keep things in perspective!

Let me just say, had I known there was an issue with the Tx I would never, ever have sold it. I am not one to scam people or rip them off. I am honest, despite what the OP thinks. The guy did email me yesterday and to be honest I did say to him I wouldn't be willing to pay for the repairs as it was 5 months ago. I think I was still well within my rights to do this. But to keep the peace I have now refunded him £31 to cover the cost of the repairs and postage rather than refund. I am still angry about this thread though and the OP for trying to shame me without even knowing the info behind it.

I bought that Tx off of Ebay. Would I go to the seller now and tell them it's faulty? Not after this amount of time no. What is my fault is not testing it thoroughly enough to know there was an issue (if indeed the issue was not caused by the OP's mate some time after I sold it). Hey, if they can sling mud, so can I!

All I can say is it worked when I had it, I wasn't aware of the foam inside, I mean why would I open up the Tx if it worked???

I've had a fair bit of stuff for sale on here the last few days, the big trx 600 forsale post I made I clearly stated I described things as best possible, clear pics were provided and this is also why I said paypal without the need for 'gifting' to make it safer for both the buyer and myself.

And anyone that thinks ebay give anymore or a rats ass about them just because they have a complaints procedure is mistaken..... I've been there a couple of times and they dont !

One has a great big disclaimer or whatever it saying that sales are nothing to do with them.

I think this is something that needs to be done on this site to avoid further problems like this. Although tt doesn't affect this case as this sale was a private seller, why the OP felet the need to try and shame me on this forum I don't know. Perhaps this was all a ploy to force me to pay for the repairs, as they knew it was a **** take asking after 5 months had passed.

My wife is amazed that I buy stuff from forum members I have not personally met, and accept and trust their word. It's generally not good business practise!!

Whilst on most occasions, things seem to work out OK, but we do see instances of "trouble" between members over a buy/sell. Followed by the "he's a mate, would not do that" sort of supporting posts for both parties and the ensuing slanging match which does the forum no benefit.

Maybe we need to look at these transactions. Like having to provide a dated image of the item, or some easy "get-out" clause for the buyer if all is not what he/she expected.

I am certain Stuart would be amenable to any suggestion which might make these transactions "better".

My parents are the same with me. Personally I've only ever had great experiences buying and selling on here, never had a single issue.

One day it will happen though, likely on eBay before anywhere else though!
