Well it was a nice day, so I decided to put a few batteries through my re-built and trimmed 450 (the one I planted in the ceiling recently).
All went well, so I decided to be brave and try a flip - got some height, went for it ...... well you've guessed it - gravity took over and that was the end of my flying for today.
Spent the last few hours re-building it again. All the usual but this time the jesus bolt let go and actually screwed the main rotor housing
bit of a pain.
It's rebuilt now but I have some bad head vibration so I think the bearings may be shot (everything else has been replaced), so I will have a look at that tomorrow.
Having a glass of whiskey now, sort of unhappy and happy - unhappy because I decked it again, happy because I very nearly managed a flip. Next time I will get a bit more height and have another go - no pain no gain!
Cheers
